In the grand tradition of beating things into the ground; we here on the Razzball Prospect Podcast indulged in yet another Scott Kingery talk. Then again, this is the Philadelphia Phillies Top Prospect episode, so it’s only right. I have strong opinions on Kingery, like your meme-sharing Uncle on Facebook. Only my opinion is about Scott Kingery, and nothing else. Lance and myself dig deep, touching the big names in the top ten, like Sixto Sanchez, J.P. Crawford, Jhailyn Ortiz, Adonis Medina, and many more. Finally, please make sure to support our sponsor by heading over to RotoWear.com and entering promo code “SAGNOF” for 20% off the highest quality t-shirts in the fantasy sports game. The rankings are over and it feels so good. That’s right, Castle “Grey-Shitz” is back with nothing to talk about but everything. I.E. Everything = Scott Kingery. We begin the show talking the Perts league RCL draft with the “reigning” NL-Only Tout Wars Champion Mr. Grey Albright. We then jump into our interview with Celebrity Chef Harold Dieterle, where of course “boba” comes up. Why does boba come up again? Because Grey has a problem, and it’s starting to bleed into his everyday life. Feel free to send words of encouragement below. We then talk Zack Godley, Miguel Sano, Colin Moran, Jonathan Villar, Greg Bird, and Lewis Brinson. We also send our regards to the man known as Salami Tom aka Yasmany Tomas. We’re moving slower than expected, so instead of the next 100 prospects, I’m cutting it into two posts of 50 prospects. Disappointing? Possibly, but you still got 6500 words to read, ponder, debate. It’s all there for the taking. What am I talking about? Honestly I’m not sure, I’m writing this at 3 AM, delirious from the research, coffee, and myrcene rich leaves. It’s the next bunch of blokes with big dreams and lots of upside for your fantasy roster. I’ve tried to get a little more “groupie”. Wait, what? I tried to group similar types together here. There’s an insane amount of upside guys in this post. So if that’s your jammy jam, you’re going to be pleased. Or maybe not, possibly you’re always grumpy, but that’s not my problem. Editing these posts is my problem! AHHHHHHH PROSPECTS. For the Top 100 Fantasy Baseball Prospects. Here’s the Top 150 Prospects for 2018 Fantasy Baseball:

Sometimes you record a podcast and you’re so aroused by your subject that you need to take a shower after recording. Not saying I have to, specifically, but the collective we. This week on the Prospect Podcast we just so happen to have one of those arousing topics. No, we did not invite Lisa Ann onto the show. Instead, Lance and myself dig into the very exciting Oakland Athletics farm system. We talk all the top talents from Jorge Mateo, to A.J. Puk, Franklin Barreto, and all the top names soon to hit Oakland. Does anybody else remember the Adventures of the Gummi Bears? It was on the Disney Channel back in the day and it was THE Saturday Morning jam. Medieval, personified bears, that bounce like kangaroos. Where do I sign up, right? In one of the sloppiest and more unconnected openings in Razzball history, starting pitchers are nothing like Gummi Bears. No, they are not my Saturday Morning jam. They’re my Saturday Morning job, digging into numerous deep dives, for hours on end, trying to figure out which players are trending where. The results of these Saturday Morning exercises are below. As a reminder these rankings are for 5×5 roto with value focused on rest of season value for 2018. So, a player like Michael Kopech is ranked for his value over the entirety of the 2018 season. Not just the next month. In previous seasons, this post was a weekly ranking with a pitching profile included. This year we will continue the weekly pitching profile, but once a month we will update the rankings. Because honestly, how much can happen in a week? One or two starts? So there’s changes coming for 2018, but they’re slight, and you’ll still get the same quality profiles, notes, and ranks. You might also get a cupcake or a venereal disease, but no telling which one. The expiration dates will just be a little longer. On the rankings not on the cupcakes or your fresh batch of herpes.

Here’s my Top 100 Starting Pitchers for 2018 Fantasy Baseball.

We’re finally wrapping up the rankings podcasts this week, as we roll through the Top 100 Starters according to the Legendary Grey Albright. That’s not all though, oh no! We start the show off with an in-depth, 15 minute breakdown of Grey’s NL-Only Tout Wars draft. The wall shalt be defended!!!! Then we move into a tier by tier breakdown of Grey’s top pitchers, hitting the high notes, but only when we squeeze our junk. But really tho… We cover 60+ pitchers in this episode, with the goal of helping you navigate through the draft. First thing’s first, the Top 100 is here for your consumption. Now you can stop F$#@ing asking me. Kidding..kidding. This is complied from all the research I’ve done since November. Some players have moved up, others have moved down, some stayed the same, while others have straight left the top 100. My hope with the later release was that I would be able to do my deepest dive yet, and integrate the knowledge of off-season adjustments that we get in mid-spring. Hopefully this has led to my most extensive and comprehensive list to date. I’ve provided tiers within the rankings, to give you an idea of where one value level starts, and another begins. We’re going all the way to 300 this year with the next two 100s coming over the next two weeks. It’s the post you’ve been waiting for! I hope it was worth the wait…

Can the Yankees just quit already? This current embarrassment of riches, with an enviable amount of young MLB talent, a stocked farm system, and a boatload of cash to splash in 2019 free agency, is not okay. How can you just be good at everything? Some guy’s just have all the luck. The Yankees are pretty much the Prom King/Football Star/Valedictorian. You can either choose to hate or appreciate. Lance and I fall in line with the latter, as we gush over Gleyber Torres, Estevan Florial, Miguel Andujar, and a laundry list of talented pitching prospects with mid-90s fastballs. It’s the New York Yankees Top Prospects people, get excited! What better topic to get Grey’s blood boiling early in the week than top starting pitchers for fantasy. If you don’t know, not sure how you couldn’t, but Grey hates pitchers in the top three rounds. He’d rather live out his days as Pablo Sandoval’s bosom sweat mediation pad than draft Clayton Kershaw. So we use Grey’s Top 40 Starting Pitchers as our guide, and dive into the strategy of building a pitching staff. We go tier by tier, directing you on who to avoid, who to draft, and where to buy the best boba filled refreshments. #Bobalife. Finally, please make sure to support our sponsor by heading over to RotoWear.com and entering promo code “SAGNOF” for 20% off the highest quality t-shirts in the fantasy sports game. Welp, Philly finally got their Super Bowl didn’t they? Now they get their Hoskins, Titles, Cheesesteaks, roast porks, and more Hoskins!?! I’m moving to Philly y’all. I’ll even listen to Meek Mill if it means I get to watch Rhys Hoskins and the rest of the young up and coming Phillies core everyday. That’s serious too, I’m not listening to Meek Mill ever. Come on now dude, Drake bodied you. Whack commercial rap battles aside, there’s still a ton of talent in the Phillies system. The organization has done a good job identifying talent both domestically, as well as internationally. Though a rough early return from their 2016 draft class, has the ominous feeling it might have been an opportunity squandered. Fortunately, this potential disaster coincided with the emergence of Sixto Sanchez, Adonis Garcia, and the ascension to the majors of a talented trio of position players in Rhys Hoskins, Nick Williams, and J.P. Crawford. The latter of which qualifies for this list for the 20th time. It’s another action packed system coming up, it’s the Philadelphia Phillies Top Prospects for 2018.

If the Twins aren’t a top ten system in terms of talent, they’re certainly top ten in terms of names. Just think about it, you have Yunior, Wander, Akil, Brusdar, and I didn’t even mention Kohl! That’s right, it’s Twins week on the prospect podcast, and Broshitz tackles another system filled with goodies. We go through all the top names in typical fashion, dispersing knowledge here and there. This episode was the best one ever. I’m going to say that every week until it’s true. I woke up from a cold sweat this morning, and decided to hammer out some miles on the treadmill at the 24 hour gym down the road. There I was, in the shortest of shorts, gonads dangerously on the edge of exposure, watching hours of Oakland Athletics tape. When getting into the mindset to write these posts, it’s important to mimic the approach and personalities of those General Managers you’re studying. DiPoto week in the Lifshitz house is a trip! I trade the kids for three older middle aged adults with poor credit, and mounting debt. Thank god I’m given permission to cosplay A.J. Preller in order to trade back for the kids. Wow, this got off track! Oh yeah, Oakland! The Athletics modus operandi is common knowledge. Trade for controllable talents, get the most out of the arb years, move along, and do the same damn thing. After a couple of molasses slow rebuild years, things progressed nicely toward the end of 2017, as a young core led by Matt Olson, Matt Chapman, and Franklin Barreto began to emerge. With a well stocked farm system, and some top level talents on the cusp, this is another great system for Dynasty managers looking to target strong rebuild pieces. Who wants to talk about the prospects? #MeToo. It’s the Oakland Athletics Top Prospects for 2018 Fantasy Baseball.
