The rankings are over and it feels so good. That’s right, Castle “Grey-Shitz” is back with nothing to talk about but everything. I.E. Everything = Scott Kingery. We begin the show talking the Perts league RCL draft with the “reigning” NL-Only Tout Wars Champion Mr. Grey Albright. We then jump into our interview with Celebrity Chef Harold Dieterle, where of course “boba” comes up. Why does boba come up again? Because Grey has a problem, and it’s starting to bleed into his everyday life. Feel free to send words of encouragement below. We then talk Zack Godley, Miguel Sano, Colin Moran, Jonathan Villar, Greg Bird, and Lewis Brinson. We also send our regards to the man known as Salami Tom aka Yasmany Tomas. Finally, please make sure to support our sponsor by heading over to and entering promo code “SAGNOF” for 20% off the highest quality t-shirts in the fantasy sports game. P.S. Watch Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit this ball. He’s coming, and it’s glorious. Oh BTW, he turned 19, on March 16th.

  1. Raoul Duke says:

My Gawd he crushed that ball. That place went crazy.

    • Grey

      Grey says:

      Effortless too

        Ralph Lifshitz says:

@Grey: It was insane. Needs to get in the treadmill tho.

      • Raoul Duke says:

And, Grey shouldn’t be blamed for the rated R thoughts that are the result of Greg Bird’s shitty foot. Don’t let the Man (Ralph) censor your genuine thoughts. Haha. I kid. Thanks for all the work you guys put into the website. It is the best around. I owe you all a briefcase of money.

  2. RICE says:

    Hey Ralph!

    Two questions for you:

    1) Week 1 start… Gausman home vs. Min or Wacha @ NYM?

    2) 4-man keeper league and I’m totally prepared to sit on Vlad Jr as long as it takes. Who would you drop?…. Tim Anderson, Jose Peraza, Time Beckham, or Margot?

    Thanks in advance!

    • Ralph Lifshitz

      Ralph Lifshitz says:

@RICE: Give me Wacha and the Mets.

        • RICE says:

@Ralph Lifshitz: Wacha it is! Thanks man!

I kind of got impatient (afraid people would keep watching that Vlad Jr walk-off clip) and dropped Peraza instead. Both he and Anderson are bench spots anyway.

  3. Sky Burns says:

CBS is seriously shading Kingery, points to the fact he has only has over a .800 OPS for a 1/2 season in the minors.

But they do recommend drafting Mike Trout and Clayton Kershaw.

    • Ralph Lifshitz

      Ralph Lifshitz says:

@Sky Burns: I’m glad you brought this up. This is the same as those that made similar arguments about Daniel Murphy and other following approach/swing changes. After making a on record swing change, Kingery did benefit in terms of FB% and over the fence production in Reading, what they might have failed to say is that those flyballs at Reading didn’t become grounders, but line drives at Lehigh Valley.

He had a 22% LD% in AAA, to go along with a 20 homer pace….WITH 30 steal speed. He’s had, 29 steals in consecutive seasons. It’s the other skills with 30+ steal speed!!! That’s why he could be such a boom.

Why are we shading someone who’s gotten better every year since he was 17 in a noticeable way, he’s gonw from walk on at Arizona, to a top 100 draft prospect, to a top 100 prospect to a $30 million commitment from a smart organization.

Oh and his defense will keep him in the field everyday.

I’m going to maybe say they don’t really know the half, as Big Daddy Kane might say.

  4. OldNavy says:

I drafted Kingery Monday night as my utility in the CBS HtH league. Is he a 20 20 player his first year?

    • Ralph Lifshitz

      Ralph Lifshitz says:

      @OldNavy: He might just be.

  5. Joey Jo Jo Jr Shabadoo says:

that 16 teamer we are JUST now finishing up with the prospect slow draft (man i’m good at estimating, i sped the clock up from 24 to 12 to 8 to 6 just nearly perfectly) at this point only one guy wanted to drop or call up somebody to draft in the 6th round. OPS, total bases, slugging, hits, net steals over steals, OBP over AVG for hitters added and QS, holds, K/9, K/BB and net saves added to pitchers. 7 man prospect list, also 2 NA’s on active roster
    active roster:
    C zunino
    1B miggy
    2B jose ram (3B)
    SS semien
    3B longo

    CI zimm
    LF mancini (1B)
    CF kiermaier
    RF mookie
    OF jd mart
    OF brocktune
    util hanram
    util mcmahon
    BN fisher LF/RF
    NA bader CF/LF
SP carrasco, pom (DL later), morton, hamels, cueto, wood,

    prospect list:
    k.lewis RF
    meadows CF
    baez SP
    trammell LF
    c.stewart LF
    kieboom SS
    javier SS
i drafted back to back SS’s to make up for my lack of MI depth, had dropped i.diaz earlier. rooker here over javier or just hold. it seems my team needs those long term MI types. kinda like the far ETA’s too.

  6. DemRibbies says:

    Hey Ralph,

Thanks for the heads-up on Kingery last year. I’ve got him as one of my 12 keepers for $3 along w/ $3 Acuna, $2 Tucker and $3 Mejia. Even if this season is a bumpy ride I’ve believe the future is looking bright with those 4.

    2 questions.

    1) Provided that Tucker rips AAA, Fish plays well in LF, and no OF are injured, do you think Tucker gets the call this Summer or will Houston be more inclined to leave Tucker in AAA until rosters expand & call him up mid-April next season?

    2) a. What’re the odds that Mejia gets 20 appearances at Catcher this season for the Tribe? Our league requires 20 appearances to maintain eligibility into the following year and without an injury to Perez or Gomes it just seems a little unlikely in the moment.
    b. Do you think Mejia sticks at Catcher next year?
