What’s poppin’, Razzpimples? Bullpen recap time! Don’t forget to keep that Razzball Bullpen Chart bookmarked. It’s been updated with the latest, and I’m usually quick to get it touched up once any type of news drops. And if you’re not a subscriber, I do highly, highly, highly recommend it. The tools are — how do you say? […]

The early bird gets the worm, and nowhere else are there more worms to be had than the waiver wire of available relief pitchers in your league. Each year we watch the demise of established capital-C “Closers”, who cost fantasy managers a decent penny in draft price, as other fantasy managers scoop up their understudy […]

What’s poppin’, Razzpimples? I figure it’s about that time of year when y’all wanna see my rankings. Thing is, I don’t rightly enjoy them. They’re format-dependent, and they’re apt to change between now and Opening Day for some reason or another (injury, free agent signing, etc.). Plus, we’ve got preseason Player Raters for that sorta […]

What’s poppin, Razzpimples? New season, but same ol’ JKJ, with my vivid-image-evoking greeting to all you Razzballers. I thank you kindly for choosing to spend time with my stream-of-consciousness ramblings on all things bullpens in the world of fantasy baseball. Like clockwork, we enter a new year of baseball where the bullpen world hath been […]

It’s 2024, and those ghosts you see in the past are now in front of you because time is a flat circle. Welcome back to Razzball Ambulance Chasers, your fantasy baseball injury report! This year, I am introducing Ambulance Chasers video content that will include conversations with your favorite Razzball writers (including me, of course) […]

Took part in my first 2024 fantasy baseball draft, and, if this is any indication, pitchers are getting drafted like geese in Duck, Duck, Goose if that were played on the course of a marathon. Ducks are hitters; pitchers are geese. It’s like this: Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, GOOSE! Then a run that is marathon-length where pitchers go one after another forever, then, finally, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, Duck, GOOSE! And another run of pitchers that gooses on forever. Eventually, it calms in the 100’s when all pitchers are picked so dry you’re left thinking, “Yu Darvish has one bad elbow, but his non-throwing arm seems fine.” Okay, for those of you who don’t know, this is a two-catcher, 15-team league that is draft and hold — there are no waivers. Bunch of Razzballers got together and took part in the 50-round slow draft. Hopefully we get another going soon. Stay tuned. Anyway, here’s my Draft Champions draft recap:

Greetings and salutations, Razzballers! Can you believe the All-Star Break is in two weeks (either because this season has felt immensely short or long)? Speaking of the All-Star Break, was there anyone you hoped to see or are surprised to see? Aaron Judge is, forever, on the All-Star roster. I wrote a quick blurb below […]
