Tanner Houck went 2 1/3 IP, 11 ER, ERA at 9.16, and I don’t care how you “fantasy baseball.” You can “fantasy baseball” by drafting catchers early. You can “fantasy baseball” by taking pitchers early. You can “fantasy baseball” by not wearing pants. I do not care. But if you “fantasy baseball” and did not […]

We’re less than a week away from the first pitch of the MLB season, with the Dodgers and Padres set to kick things off in Tokyo. Spring training battles are wrapping up, lineups are taking shape, and fantasy managers are making their final tweaks before the grind begins. As we continue our journey through the top 100 fantasy hitters, we’ve reached the top 80—a mix of rising stars, steady veterans, and a few question marks that could make or break a season. Some players are surging up draft boards with their spring performances, while others have red flags waving like a third-base coach on a two-out double. With the countdown to real baseball nearly over, let’s dive into the second-to-last segment in our series breaking down the Top 100 Hitters for the 2025 season as we get closer to Opening Day.

Spring Training has started, which means many fantasy leagues are gearing up for the season to start. Yes, some leagues have already had their drafts, but many haven’t.

As fantasy owners prepare for their upcoming league drafts or auctions or whatever process you use to add players, this week the Top 400 Dynasty Players for 2025 features the players ranked 50th-26th. We are in the backstretch as next week we conclude the series.

When you look at the position and age breakdowns for this group, it should not be shocking to see 19 of the 25 players are under the age of 29 with five players under the age of 24. And you really shouldn’t be shocked to see so many pitchers. After the first two rounds of a draft, I will hunt for the top pitchers on the board, especially as more and more leagues adjust their categories to make starting pitching more meaningful other than collecting strikeouts or posting a 4.50 ERA yet get credited with a quality start.

In our 79th episode, Mike Couillard is joined by Keelin Billue, Razzball’s former Ambulance Chaser, and Jordan White, formerly of Pitcher List and Razzball, to discuss the latest MLB moves and preview the AL Central teams. For each team in the division, we each pick a player that for fantasy purposes we would buy, sell, […]

We. Are. Back! Round 2 of my Ambulance Chasers takeover is underway as Grey has not halted access to WordPress (yet). Last week’s piece covered injured players I am actively fading this season which you can find here. My thought process is somewhat simple on buying into “bounce-backs” or players on the upward swing post-injury. […]

As they say in conductor school, “Hey, Maestro, let’s keep this train going!” “Rollin’, rollin’, rollin’, is what we doing,” as they say in Snoop Dogg’s hooptie. Here’s the top 60 outfielders, which I bet you could’ve guessed from the title, unless you’re in that hooptie. The 2025 fantasy baseball rankings are there. Subscriptions are up and […]

Welcome back to another season of fantasy baseball prep—because what else would you be doing in January? The 2025 season is shaping up to be a fascinating year. The kids are officially running the show, with Elly De La Cruz, Gunnar Henderson, and Bobby Witt Jr. staking their claim as first-round mainstays. Meanwhile, the Athletics and Rays are moving to new digs and interim stadiums. How will that affect player values? Only time will tell. As the offseason begins, we’re kicking things off by diving into some of my favorite breakout players for the 2025 fantasy baseball season. For our purposes, a breakout player is defined as someone being drafted outside the top five rounds who has the upside to deliver significantly more value by season’s end. With that loose definition in mind, we’re bound to have some fun. Welcome to the first edition of Hitter Profiles for the 2025 Fantasy Baseball Season!
