Saturday Night Live celebrated its 50th year this past weekend.  Did you watch it?  If not, go find it…or at least watch the clips.  Great stuff!  SNL has been one of my favorites ever since I discovered it two score and several fortnights ago.  Ok, maybe not THAT long ago, but it’s been a minute! A new fantasy baseball season is upon us, bringing the annual quest to assemble a championship-worthy roster. Whether you’re aiming to defend your title or establish newfound league dominance, draft season is the perfect time to lay the foundation for success. The 2025 season presents fresh challenges and plenty of intrigue, with speed continuing to be a premium at the top of drafts. While the top spot is no surprise, the first few rounds are much tighter than in previous years. Additionally, several positions—such as first, second, and third base—feature a handful of stars followed by significant uncertainty necessitating filling out those positions strategically. In this ranking of the top 20 hitters, we highlight the best of the best—players who can anchor your fantasy lineup. From perennial MVP candidates to rising stars, these hitters form the first part of our deep dive into the Top 100 Hitters for the 2025 fantasy baseball season.

Spring Training has started, which means many fantasy leagues are gearing up for the season to start. Yes, some leagues have already had their drafts, but many haven’t.

As fantasy owners prepare for their upcoming league drafts or auctions or whatever process you use to add players, this week the Top 400 Dynasty Players for 2025 features the players ranked 50th-26th. We are in the backstretch as next week we conclude the series.

When you look at the position and age breakdowns for this group, it should not be shocking to see 19 of the 25 players are under the age of 29 with five players under the age of 24. And you really shouldn’t be shocked to see so many pitchers. After the first two rounds of a draft, I will hunt for the top pitchers on the board, especially as more and more leagues adjust their categories to make starting pitching more meaningful other than collecting strikeouts or posting a 4.50 ERA yet get credited with a quality start.

What’s poppin’, Razzpimples? Pretty quick read for y’all today. I like to do one of these each year: who’s currently being underdrafted for saves in fantasy baseball? Last year I highlighted Ryan Helsley, Pete Fairbanks, Tanner Scott, Jose Leclerc, Alex Lange, Jose Alvarado, Kyle Finnegan, and Robert Suarez. A few of those worked out great; […]

Hello, dear Razzball readers! Although it has been many moons since we last checked in on the college game, my crack staff has been busy analyzing and organizing reports on countless prospects across the sport’s lanscape. My crack staff consists of two dogs with ADHD, an eight-month-old infant, my retired neighbor named Bill, and a cardinal that has been endlessly pecking on my window. His name is Jean Claude.

Suffice to say, I have had my work cut out for me. Bill has spent significantly more time woodworking and making homemade canes in his garage than scouting this offseason. Not to mention, he sometimes takes the “crack” in crack staff a bit too literally. As for Jean Claude, well, he still thinks the love of his life is on the other side of the glass windows. He has been relegated to a new social role, Tweeting. The change has been quite unproductive.

As for myself, the top-10 prospects for the beginning of the 2025 college baseball season have been completed. It is not a dazzling class, but it isn’t shallow, either. Still, as I wrote these breakdowns, I couldn’t help but feel that it was one of the weaker top-10s since I started covering college prospects at Razzball in 2020. Sure, Jace LaViolette, Jamie Arnold and Cam Cannarella are awesome, but none of them scream slam-dunk, 1-1 overall to me. And the 8-10 spots could be beefier. Like a Runza.

As always, this list is a lot different than the industry consensus and what you’ll see elsewhere. These rankings take future fantasy contributions into account, especially a player’s ability to assist across multiple statistical categories. So, who is at No. 1 this year, and are there any major surprises? Here’s the list:
