Twins slugger Josh Donaldson ($3,100) is primed for a big night on Friday, as he’s been crushing the ball this year with a 95th percentile xwOBA. Donaldson also has a career-low 14.5% K-rate, combining patience and power for a 136 wRC+. The Bringer of Rain can do lots of damage against starter Triston McKenzie, who has a 2.25 HR/9 and a 6.21 FIP this season. Batting second in the lineup, Donaldson leads a Twins stack that is affordable and has the upside to take down a tournament.

Trevor Bauer, SP: $11,800 – You’ll have to pony up lots of salary tonight for Trevor Bauer, but he’s well worth the price tag. Bauer has a dominant 35.5% K-rate and is facing the Giants, who strike out more than any other team against righties at 28.6%. It’s an absolute smash spot for the ace.
Ian Anderson, SP: $8,800 – Anderson is a more affordable contrarian option who is also in a great spot. He gets the lowly Pirates, who have mustered just a .281 wOBA against left-handed pitching. Anderson brings strikeout upside, too, with a career 27.2% K-rate in 77 1/3 innings.
Anthony Rizzo, 1B: $3,100 – Rizzo can rack up runs and RBI batting third for the Cubs against Carlos Martinez, who has a 6.16 ERA since the start of 2020. He’s walking more than he’s striking out and is a key piece of a Cubs stack.
Kolten Wong, 2B: $3,300 – Wong is a good cash game play batting .274 atop the Brewers lineup in an extreme hitter’s park in Cincinnati. Opposing starter Jeff Hoffman has a 4.67 ERA, so Wong can also be paired with fellow lefties Daniel Vogelbach ($2,700) and Christian Yelich ($3,900).
Tim Anderson, SS: $3,500 – Anderson is hitting .316 over the last two weeks and is facing a lefty in Jordan Montgomery. TA has mashed against left-handed pitching in his career with a 132 wRC+.
Randy Arozarena, OF: $3,500 – It didn’t take long for Arozarena to rip off another hot streak like he did in last year’s postseason. Arozarena has gone 7-for-11 with three homers since Wednesday and should keep it up against Anthony Kay, who has a 5.92 career ERA.
Yordan Alvarez, OF: $3,500 – Alvarez hasn’t missed a beat from his elite 2019, batting .343 with seven homers and a .959 OPS in 2021.
Joc Pederson, OF: $2,500– Pederson has rebounded from his abysmal start and is batting .419 over the last two weeks. He is a cheap power upside flier and Cubs stack piece.
