Pitching options tonight are not for the faint of heart. We have a bunch of guys who can allow 5-6 runs and be knocked out of the game by the 4th inning. I counted 11 listed starters who currently have an ERA north of 5. Today could be a day where you can load up on some expensive bats and stream a couple guys with good match-ups. Brent Suter ($7,500) posted a sparkling 1.50 ERA over his 5 starts in July, during that span he has a 25:5 K/BB ratio. He looks to keep it rolling into August as the St. Louis Cardinals come to town. They hit much worst vs. LHP than against RHP. For the season, they have struggled to a .239 AVG and .718 OPS agaisnt lefties; that would rank them as a middle of the road team. Another pitcher that could provide a decent start is JC Ramirez ($7,600). He has a fantastic matchup versus the Philadelphia Phillies who rank towards the bottom in all major offensive categories. Has pitched over 6 innings in his last 4 starts and should continue that trend tonight. Great chance for the win as Angels are decent size favorites at -200. Now lets take a look at the rest of the picks.

Buster Posey, C: $3,300 – Gets a struggling RHP in Daniel Gossett, who has allowed 2.11 HR/9. Maybe this is the game that Posey finally finds his HR stroke, either way he has been delivering with out the long ball.
Josh Bell, 1B: $3,600 – The switch hitting 1B hits better from the Left Side of the plate and a matchup vs Robert Stephenson is a juicy one. Stephenson is allowing 3.09 HR/9 against lefties and a .443wOBA.
Scooter Gennett, 2B: $2,800 – Huge bargain for a guy who has been killing RHP (.426 wOBA, 1.023 OPS). Facing Trevor Williams who actually hasn’t been too bad against Lefties but the price is the kicker.
Wilmer Difo, SS: $2,700 – Somehow Vance Worley is still starting games in the Majors so the Nationals will probably be a popular stack. Difo has been leading off for a very dangerous line up that could put up some crooked numbers tonight. He has also found his power stroke lately with 3 HRs and .873 OPS over his last 15 games.
Mike Moustakas, 3B: $3,500 – Has a flyball rate of almost 50% against RHP and an OPS north of .900. Jeremy Hellickson is making his debut for the Orioles in Camden Yards, he is allowing a flyball to lefties 49% of the time. I can already see the Moustakas hitting one to the buildings in RF.
Brian Goodwin, OF: $3,500 – Vance Worley is still listed as starter since I wrote about it earlier so play all your Nationals. Goodwin has 4 HRs and a .903 OPS over his last 15; should add to those numbers tonight.
Mikie Mahtook, OF: $3,000 – Has been locked in at the two spot in the Tigers line-up and making the most of his opportunities since JD Martinez trade. Hits 50 points higher against RHP than LHP and a match-up vs. Tanaka is not scary. Tanaka has been absolutely awful in day games.
Bradley Zimmer, OF: $3,700 – The rookie is finally hitting his stride and proving why he was a top prospect. Has been stuffing the stat sheet over the last week (3 HRs, 3 SBs, 1.323 OPS). Gets a struggling Rick Porcello who has been bitten by the long ball all year.
I’m Only Happy When it Rains
We have a great night for baseball as it seems every game has a clear forecast. With no PPD threats present every game is a go.
Doing Lines in Vegas

Toronto Blue Jays are sending JA Happ to the mound and are listed at-200 versus the tanking Chicago White Soxs. A slugfest is expected between SEA/TEX as the line is set at 11 runs.
