For those who don’t understand the headline reference, it’s a Sopranos episode title. A very crucial episode that causes a ripple effect on how the show ends. How does this relate to DraftKings today? Well technically it doesn’t, but Ian Kennedy can cause a ripple effect on your team today, since he is my top pitching option tonight. Unfortunately we are a day late on Verlander or I could have had a field day with him and his nude pics – speaking of which, am I the only one who thinks Kate Upton is overrated? Her body is shaped like Kendrys Morales with smaller boobs. With that out the way, lets focus on some DFS – we only got 8 games tonight and some good pitchers on the mound, so I will focus on hitters mainly.

Ian Kennedy, SP: $9,300 – Kennedy is really boom or bust; on the other hand, the Diamondbacks haven’t been the same since Goldie went down. In the month of August, Kennedy struck out 39 batters in 34.1 innings. The strikeout potential is there, let’s just hope the big inning potential isn’t. I don’t expect a perfect game from Kennedy but if all the stars align, he could have a big night.
Brian Dozier, 2B/SS: $5,000 – Not a fan of Dozier’s price tag, but i am a fan of his. Dozier is a great play on any given night since he has the tools to hit for power, steal a base, draw walks etc.. Dozier also has the potential to go 0/4 with 4 strikeouts. If you decide to spend at this position, Dozier is definitely someone to consider.
Allen Craig, 1B/OF: $3,100 – It’s really difficult to trust someone with two first names, but Craig could make for a very decent GPP play given his price and matchup. Craig is familiar with Chris Capuano since they are both career NL players. Craig has enjoyed tee’ing off of Capuano, batting over.571 with two homers, and six RBIs; a small sample size there is definitely value here.
Jay Bruce, OF: $3,700 – Bruce usually bats cleanup against RHP, and tonight he is in Camden Yards. Camden Yards is a great hitters park, especially for left handed batters. Tillman will take the mound for the Orioles who’s been Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for most the season. Tillman struggles against left handed bats, and Bruce is always a threat to go deep. At $3,700 you could do much worse.
Evan Longoria, 3B: $4,300 – Longoria is in a good spot today as the Rays take on the Jays. Buehrle will be the Jays starter today, and he’s been getting worse as the season goes on. Longoria has a .368 wOBA versus LHP at home, and is a Jays killer. He is priced at $4,300 which could return good value based on the other given options.
Elvis Andrus, SS: $3,500 – It’s not often I suggest taking Rangers players, but Andrus has some value. He usually bats in the 2 hole, in front of Beltre, Rios and a bunch of guys we’ve never heard of. The Rangers do hit left handed pitchers significantly better than righties so with Roenis Elias getting the start for the Mariners and his problem walking batters, this could end up being a high scoring affair. Andrus could muster up points via stolen base and runs, which is always useful when building a lineup.
Matt Adams, 1B: $3,400 – Adams continues to underpriced, but thats cool with me. Adams is always a safe cash game play since he hits for average with the occasional dong. There is a ton of value here today with Wily Peralta pitching for the Brewers. Peralta has been awful in his last two starts. If that trend continues, Adams can do some serious damage tonight.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
As of Wednesday night, everything seems clear with no threat of rain – that being said keep checking the weather throughout the day.
Doing Lines In Vegas
The highest total on the board tonight (so far) is Boston(Brandon Workman) at New York (Chris Capuano) which is set at 9. This game has the potential to be a slugfest but the Red Sox do tend to struggle against left handed pitchers. I would consider a Yankees stack, but they always tend to disappoint.
Ironically the highest favorite of the night is Capuano as well, the line is set at -155. The second highest is Chris Tillman against the Cincinnati Reds which is set at -150.
