Much like both of his nickname-sakes, Juan Soto has quickly become the talk of the town. The Childish Bambino is aptly named for his youth and baseball slugging potential. If you can nab him on Draft.com tonight, it should make your lineup. Let’s dive in and figure out who else to use to to fill out that lineup.

Chris Sale, SP: Early. Sale is second in the league with a 15.4 SwStr% among qualified starters. He’s had some trouble going deep into games this year, but he’s the most likely pitcher to strike out a dozen hitters on a given night.
Mike Clevinger, SP: Middle. The White Sox are a favorite offense to target with DFS pitching. Clevinger just carved them up on the road. He gets them at home today. We may not get 11 Ks with only 1 earned, but it should be a very solid performance.
Freddy Peralta, SP: Late. In his only two starts in the majors, we got two different versions of Peralta. He’s continued to strike out the opposition at Triple-A. Despite the Pirates’ lower K-rate vs RHP, there’s a good chance he racks up moderate K’s without yielding too much damage.
Trevor Story, IF: Early. The man rakes at home to the tune of a .829 SLG%. He and Nolan Arenado will be the first off the board. Story should hit clean-up against Jason Vargas. Not a hard call here.
Freddie Freeman, IF: Middle. Finding good lefty-on-lefty match-ups is one of my favorite DFS ploys. Freeman actually has one more home run off of left-handed pitching than right-handed. The Rockies at the top will push down quality bats like Freeman.
Ian Kinsler, IF: Late. It’s been a bit all or nothing with Kinsler this season. He’s binging on power recently, with 6 homers in June. His splits are better against RHP, as well.
Brandon Nimmo, OF: Early. One of the only bright spots for the Mets this season, Nimmo will hit atop the visiting lineup at Coors Field. After his two-homer night last night, he’s going to be popular, and for good reason.
Juan Soto, OF: Middle. The Childish Bambino. Soto continues to manage impressive feats, like going back in time to hit a home run. The 19-year-old has raked since his call-up. What gives me the most confidence in him, though, is his 1.407 OPS against LHP. There’s no easy way to get this kid out right now.
Travis Janikowski, OF: Late. We forget about speed sometimes in the daily game. No catcher has been stolen on more than Jonathan Lucroy. Janikowski seems to have a very frequent green light. Take a gamble on a steal in this one.
