Drafting Anthony Rizzo is the first step in the blueprint for success on Wednesday. Rizzo has been getting busy in the last 15 days, batting .327 with a 1.094 OPS and five homers. He gets to take advantage of one of the best hitter’s parks in the league in Milwaukee, where he already homered on Monday. Rizzo should have the opportunity to drive in plenty of runs as the Cubs cleanup hitter against Jhoulys Chacin, who has a 4.75 Deserved Run Average this season. I’d try pairing Rizzo with a teammate like Kyle Schwarber, but even as a standalone play, Rizzo is worth an early pick on Draft.

Kenta Maeda, SP: King Kenta is back in the Dodgers rotation, making his first start off of the DL. Maeda didn’t make a rehab start, but he threw a bullpen on Sunday, so I don’t think the Dodgers will give him a limited pitch count. Maeda has been incredible this season, putting up a 30.5% K-rate with a 2.84 FIP. The Rangers have the second-highest K-rate in the league against righties at 26.1%, giving Maeda a ton of strikeout upside.
Luke Weaver, SP: Weaver has been pretty bad, but he’s facing the Padres. San Diego’s .288 wOBA versus righties ranks them third-worst in baseball, so Weaver should be able to give you some quality innings for a late pick.
Giancarlo Stanton, IF: The Nats are calling up Erick Fedde on Wednesday to face Stanton in Yankee Stadium. Fedde has a 2.14 HR/9 in four career starts, if you know what I’m trying to get at here.
Jose Altuve, IF: Not sure why Altuve is projected for only 8.7 points, as he’s proven that he’s still an elite fantasy producer. He should hit the ball into play in every plate appearance against Paul Blackburn, which will lead to production.
Andrew Benintendi, OF: Benintendi’s insane last month has consisted of 10 homers with a 1.184 OPS. He’s at Baltimore against Yefry Ramirez, who is probably the worst pitcher on the entire slate.
George Springer, OF: You can never go wrong with leadoff men, especially when they’re in one of the best lineups in baseball against Paul Blackburn.
Ryan Braun, OF: You should be able to snag Braun with your last pick. As long as he plays, he will produce against Mike Montgomery.
