Back to back days of DFS with The Great Knoche this week. Currently watching the defense behind the Braves take some points off the board for Max Fried in the third inning of my main card on Monday night. Hoping those are the only blemishes on the night for my pitching staff. (Edit -It wasn’t, Looking at you Aaron Nola….) The Rangers are just starting up so hopefully by the time I am done writing this article I’ll be well on my way to some Monday night money, but now onto Tuesday and back to a full slate of action.

I’ll be bringing you my DFS picks for the main evening slate on Tuesday, July 12th, 2022. If you play on DraftKings, it is an 14-game slate starting at 6:05 Central time. This article will be primarily focused on the DraftKings slate, so if you play on Fanduel I encourage you to sign up for the DFS tools to help you make the best decisions for your lineups on FanDuel, DraftKings, and Yahoo.

New to DFS?  You can start playing right now on FanDuel and put our picks to the test.  If you’re scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFS Bot for your daily baseball plays. Dylan Cease, SP: $9,700. My biggest All-star snub is my leading play on the mound for Tuesday night. Although the Guardians strikeout the least of any team in MLB (And it’s not close) even they are going to struggle against Cease and his 13+K/9. In his last 9 starts, Cease has allowed just 3 ER over 45 and 1/3 IP. He’s the number one play in my book Tuesday.

Logan Webb, SP: $9,500. For the second day in a row, I had a rough debate with myself regarding whether to pay up for a second top-tier arm or look for some value. My inner pitcher won out again as I selected Webb over Jordan Lyles. Webb has yet to allow a Home Run at home this season and I look for that to continue on Tuesday night.

Jonah Heim, C: $3,700. Heim will go up against James Kaprielian and the A’s on Tuesday night. You know I loved them Rangers on Monday. Not as heavy on them tonight, but I still think Heim is a great value compared to many of the other catchers on the board. Heim is the 26th most expensive, and he should be in the top 10.

Isaac Paredes, 1B: $4,600. The Rays will be the guinea pigs for Chris Sale’s return on Tuesday night. Sale is likely to be limited and he walked 5 batters in 3.2 IP in his last rehab start. Combine that with the injury and a usage-depleted Red Sox bullpen, and I like the Rays to score some runs on Tuesday night unless Sale has a real quick get-right game.

Rougned Odor, 2B: $2,900. Grey’s former love child with Giancarlo Stanton hasn’t hit for average but has homered 9 times on the season. He will face Adrian Sampson and the Cubs at Wrigley with the wind blowing slightly out to right. Sampson has had some good luck so far with a 62.5% LOB and an 8.7% HR/FB rate which is well below where he has been in the past. Time for a visit from the regression fairies.

Manny Machado, 3B: $5,100. Manny will be in my lineup for the second straight night at Coors with a lefty on the mound in Austin Gomber. Same things apply on Tuesday night. Wind blowing out still.

Bobby Witt Jr., SS: $4,500. Bobby is heating up, riding a 6 game hit streak including 3 hits on Monday as of writing with 7 innings to go. Beau Brieske and the Tigers have been better of late, but I still like Bobby to continue the hot hitting.

Anthony Santander, OF: $3,800. Anthony has hit safely in 7 of 10 with 3 multi-hit efforts. He hasn’t homered since 6/27, but I like the way the Orioles are hitting the ball and think they could put some runs up on Tuesday.

Darin Ruf, OF: $2,800. I thought the Dallas Keuchel retirement party was going to be last week, but he gets another start in San Fran on Tuesday night. I think Ruf should be in the lineup against the lefty and he has 5 Home Runs in 99 plate appearances vs southpaws this year.

AJ Pollock, OF: $3,400. Pollock hasn’t been terribly exciting (Like most of the White Sox) so far this year. He was my last selection here, and I was hoping to do better, but alas sometimes you gotta take what is given and hope for the best.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Strong Storms are forecast for the Northeast Corridor tomorrow with issues possible in New York and DC. Strong winds potentially blowing out in Minneapolis, and in for the Cleveland game.

Doing Lines In Vegas

I did mention I do a bit of Sports Handicapping. Follow me on Twitter @TheGreatKnoche for more info. I’ll give out a Free Play here every Tuesday, but you can find all my free and premium picks for MLB and a few other sports at The Odds Breakers

We went 1-1 on my free picks here Monday night, as Aaron Nola gave up 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th to lose the F5 under there. I like the Rays at +110 against Chris Sale and the Red Sox on Tuesday in early lines.
