One week of baseball is in the scorebooks. Stolen bases are up, BABIP is up, and the pitch clock (outside of a few curmudgeons) is already being hailed as a success. Hopefully, your DFS Picks have been cooking. Today’s big DFS slate on DraftKings has been slowly shrinking from eight to four games as they are canceled on the east coast for the stormy weather. One of them is our first Coors game of the season. A small slate with Coors included creates a lot of leverage opportunities because projections will point toward the Coors players as being the best.

New to DFS?  You can start playing right now on FanDuel and put our picks to the test.  If you’re scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFS Bot for your daily baseball plays. Lance Lynn, SP: $8,400 – I’ll admit it. I have a Lance Lynn problem. I love the big guy. Watching him strut around swearing after a strikeout never gets old. His opponent, the Giants, are the platoon masters of baseball, but so far they are striking out a lot vs right-handed pitchers, too. It is a high-risk, high-reward type of matchup for Lance Lynn.

Chris Sale, SP: $7,500 – I’m adding Chris Sale to this article as a tournament fade. He started the season shaky against Baltimore. Given the dynamics of today’s games, our opponents will point to the Sale’s history, believe in the good matchup against the Tigers, and play him in droves.

Seby Zavala, C/1B: $2,500 – The popular catcher plays will come from Coors. I want to throw Seby out as a pivot if he ends up in the lineup. He is an above-average offensive catcher in wRC+, and Seby could get a nice platoon setup against Alex Wood.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr., C/1B: $5,500 – Vlad took an opposite-field hit past the fences in Kaufman Field last night for his first home run of the season. CJ Cron and Dom Smith should attract a lot of the first base attention tomorrow hitting in Coors. Vlad is a guy I’ll always pay up for if he isn’t too popular.

Matt Chapman, 3B: $4,300 – I promise that every week I won’t be recommending Blue Jay hitters. Matt Chapman always quietly hits well without much fanfare. The 3B position has a lot of cheap options that will be used to fit the expensive parts of the Coors stacks. Chapman finds himself in a weird pricing zone for the position today.

Joc Pederson / Michael Conforto / Mike Yastrzemski, OF: $4,500/3,600/3,200 – If you’re not playing Lance Lynn, attack him with some left-handed bats. Pick one or two of these outfielders depending on your salary limits as a small stack or pair them with another lefty infielder.

Riley Greene, OF: $3,700 – I’m here for Riley Greene’s breakout this year. Along with Matt Vierling, Greene has been the most consistent bat on this struggling offense. Taking Detroit hitters today can be an extra boost of leverage if you do end up wanting to play a Coors stack.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

It looks like the rain games are already all cleared out of this slate thanks to canceled games. The rest of the games look like normal, chilly April games.

Doing Lines In Vegas

If you read this far last week, you’ll have read about taking the under on total runs for the Opening Day Orioles and Red Sox game because of the cold weather. That went really, really well. Both teams managed to hit the over by themselves. So take it with a large shaker of salt when I say that you should keep your eye out for plus money line on the under for the Coors game because of the cool temperature.
