As the title implies, there are aces all over the place for tonight’s slate. We’re going to try to pick the correct 2. Skubal, Cease, Framber, Gray, Miller, Nola, and Peralta all take the bump tonight. Out of all these guys, I’m taking Sonny Gray ($9,400) against the Pirates. He’s only given up 1 run per game in each of his last 3 starts, to go along with a 20:3 strikeout-to-walk ratio and 20+ points per start. A little late in the season to say Sonny Gray has found his form, but it’s true. Gray has been great over the past month and hopes to finish the season strong. Let’s see who else we can fit into this lineup for tonight’s 12-game slate starting at 6:35pm EST.

Bowden Francis, SP $8,300 – In the interest of saving money, and picking the wrong ace, we’re going to take a chance on Bowden Francis. He was a few pitches away from a no-hitter his last time out. His point production from that game is low since he had only 1 strikeout, but he had an excellent month of August. That is not to say his September has been bad, just some unlucky breaks with the long ball and a lack of run support. Let’s see if he can get the job done tonight, and we use some of our funds on some hitters.

Matt Olson, 1B: $5,000 –As the playoff race heats up, the Braves need Olson to turn it on more than ever. Prior to last night’s contest, he did not homer in the previous 14 games in September. Olson is as streaky as they come, and his swing is a thing of beauty. It’s even more beautiful when you have him in your lineup. Olson adds to his great game yesterday and begins a crazy hot streak to wrap up the regular season.

Jose Iglesias 2B: $3,900 – What a spark Iglesias has been for the Mets. He’s hitting .335 with an .829 OPS. His value comes from getting on base, via hits, runs, etc. He’s not stealing a ton of bags, but he might be able to get us one. When picking Iglesias, we’re hoping for 1-2 hits and 1-2 runs scored as the Mets take care of the Nats. At this price point, anything around 6-8 points will be serviceable.

Mark Vientos, 3B: $4,500 – We said above that we need Iglesias to score runs. So, why not have Vientos drive him in a couple times? Put Vientos into the “he’s due” category we all love so much. For a player with 24 homers, it’s rare to see him go 10+ games without a homer. That changes tonight. He gets into at least one of them and gives us a few other points elsewhere. Start with confidence.

Jorge Soler OF: $3,800 – We’re going to see if these mini stacks work tonight. Soler is coming off a homer last night and has shown the ability to stay hot for a couple games at a time. The Braves are in desperation mode as they need every win, run, hit they can muster. Let’s cross our fingers for another night with the long ball here from Soler.

Ceddanne Rafaela, OF: $3,100 – Here is a man we’ve picked numerous times this year. His price is simply too low to ignore, but you have to know the risk of getting a 0 is definitely a possibility. What we’re wanting is one of those breakout games that are definitely possible. We want 10+ points, but why can’t we get 20!?

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Keep an eye on the lineups as there’s plenty of wiggle room for changes. There is ~$4,000 per player left if you roster all of these players above. This should leave plenty of opportunity to fill out the rest of the lineup.

There is no inclement weather projected tonight.
