Hi Mike,
I really appreciate all your help!
Is it to early to look at matchups?
1.Shane Baz’s first start is home vs COL.
2. Verlander starts his career with the Giants on the road at Cincinnati
Would you make any move on these players?
Have a great weekend!
Hi Mike,
What are your thoughts on picking up Birdsong?
Would you drop Warren or Weathers to get Birdsong or find a different way to get Birdsong?
Thanks so much!
I like Birdsong, but you can wait on him for now. Doesn’t look like he’s going to get a rotation spot in SF, unfortunately. But if you have IL spots for your league, certainly move Weathers there and then you can add Birdsong with the free roster spot
Thank Mike for giving these details
In my Yahoo league, you don’t get IL slots until the season starts. Therefore you have several options:
1. Wait till the season starts, then move Weathers to IL and then
pick up Birdsong. The risk is that another manager picks up Birdsong.
2. cut Weathers now and pick up a pitcher off the wire like
Birdsong
Reese Olson
Verlander
Max Meyer
Tobias Meyer (IL)
Shane Bez
Bubba Chandler
3. Make no move and hold.
Thanks!!!
Really appreciate all this help!!

Hi Mike,
What are your thoughts
1. on picking up Ben Rice to backup Raleigh at catcher and Naylor at 1B
or
2.wait for a better wire hitter
or
3. pick up another SP like Bubic or Smith-Shawyer?
or
4. Look for a third RP besides Fairbanks and Romano like Kerkering
Have a great Friday!
Thanks for all your assistance and kindness!!
Martin
I would absolutely go add Smith-Shawver right now. He looks destined to stick in that ATL rotation all season and has been electric in spring. He was one of our favorites from this pod, plus I’ll have him again as a suggested pick in my Saturday article.
Thanks!!!!
