We’re running low on articles this season. There’s less than a month remaining at this point, and many of you are in the money-making portion of your season. You’d better believe I’m in the same boat, so these streamers are imperative as ever. It’s been an amazing season of streamers, and I always look forward to producing this article. We’re heading back to the Rockies well for our hitting streamers this week, but let’s start with the schedule and arms before we dive into that!
Favorable Team Matchups
7 Games
Baltimore Orioles (at COL, vs. BOS)
Boston Red Sox (vs. SEA, at BAL)
Chicago White Sox (at HOU, vs. MIN)
Cleveland Guardians (vs. TOR, vs. DET)
Houston Astros (vs. CWS, vs. ARI)
Seattle Mariners (at BOS, vs. ATH)
Texas Rangers (vs. ATH, vs. TB)
6 Games
Colorado Rockies (vs. BAL, vs. STL)
Los Angeles Dodgers (vs. STL, vs. WAS)
St. Louis Cardinals (at LAD, vs. COL)
Pitching Streamers
Gage Jump, ATH (at TEX, at SEA)
It’s hard to believe, but the A’s have developed a sneaky pitching staff with some of these young arms. We have two to kickstart this article, so let’s start with Jump. This left-hander broke out with a 2.04 ERA and 0.96 WHIP through his first month with the A’s but struggled throughout the dog days of summer. The good news is that he’s recaptured some of that form, with Jump recording a quality start in three of his last six outings. He’s also got a 9.9 K/9 rate while posting some sensational splits. Jump struggles in Sacramento like all of these arms, accruing a 3.49 ERA and 10.0 K/9 rate on the road this year. We love that in this two-start week because he faces a 27th-ranked Texas offense and a 30th-ranked Seattle lineup in two pitcher’s parks.
Streamonator Valuation: $6.1
Jacob Lopez, ATH (at TEX)
Lopez is probably the most exciting of these young A’s arms. He was a fantasy darling in the final months of last season, maintaining a 2.17 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 10.8 K/9 rate across his final 13 starts before a shelling in the finale. That’s exactly the sort of form we’ve seen recently, with Lopez allowing two runs or fewer in nine straight starts. This southpaw also has a 2.18 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 10.7 K/9 rate in that span. It’s hard to believe someone with this much talent is still in consideration as one of our streamers, especially since he has a 1.53 ERA and 0.79 WHIP on the road in that span. Not to mention, the Rangers rank 22nd in wOBA and 27th in runs scored. Lopez has already seen them three times this season, allowing two runs or fewer in all of those!
Streamonator Valuation: $-0.9
Randy Dobnak, KC (vs. MIA, vs. TOR)
This Streamonator evaluation is funny, but it shows just how random this breakout is. Dobnak has been a journeyman for the majority of his career, and it’s actually surprising KC even gave him a chance to start. That proved to be an elite decision for this organization, tallying a 1.92 ERA and 1.37 WHIP this year. That WHIP definitely indicates some negative regression, but Dobnak hasn’t allowed more than four runs in any start while surrendering one or zero in seven of 10! That sort of consistency is impossible to overlook in this two-start week against two subpar offenses. Miami ranks 20th in runs scored while Toronto sits 27th in OPS and 29th in runs scored.
Streamonator Valuation: $-59.4
Landen Roupp, SF (at PIT, at NYM)
Roupp is developing into a regular in my streamers piece, mainly due to his inconsistency. What we like about him is that he always seems to perform in the right situations. Facing a poor offense in a pitcher’s park has been a recipe for success for Roupp, and that’s what he has this week. He faces a Pittsburgh team that’s one of the worst in the second half while New York ranks 21st in K rate and 24th in runs scored. That’s awesome for a talented pitcher like Roupp, with the righty totaling a 3.73 ERA and 1.20 WHIP across his last nine starts. We typically prefer to use Roupp in San Fran, but Citi Field and PNC Park are equally good.
Streamonator Valuation: $9.7
Bubba Chandler/Jared Jones, PIT (vs. SF)
Let’s ride a pair of Pittsburgh pitchers for the final slot of our pitching streamers. These young arms are expected to form a formidable rotation next to Paul Skenes, and we’re seeing glimpses of what they can become. Chandler has a 2.95 ERA and 1.12 WHIP across his last seven starts after looking like one of the best pitching prospects in baseball. Jones is in a similar boat, allowing three runs or fewer in 13 of 16 starts this season. He has a 3.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 10.3 K/9 rate in those 13 starts and now has an 11.0 K/9 rate since July 1. The stuff is there for these two to be studs, and this is a great opportunity to showcase it. Not only is San Fran one of the most spacious parks, but the Giants also rank 20th in xwOBA and 25th in runs scored.
Streamonator Valuation: $-4.8/$29.3
Hitting Streamers
Christian Encarnacion-Strand, BAL (at COL, vs. BOS)
I was actually an idiot when I picked up Encarnacion-Strand in every league after his promotion to the Reds a few years ago, but something has changed in Baltimore. After some major struggles and a demotion to the minors, CES has found something. He’s become a utility man for the O’s, hitting in the heart of their lineup nearly every day. He’s earned that spot by posting a .272 AVG and .819 OPS across 33 games. Encarnacion-Strand also has a .305 AVG and .899 OPS across his last 15 outings. That’s the production we got used to at lower levels, and we love his schedule this week. A road matchup against the worst pitching staff in baseball is one thing, but CES also gets to face at least three lefties. Encarnacion-Strand has compiled a 1.142 OPS with the platoon advantage in his favor this year!
Colorado Rockies Bats (vs. BAL, vs. STL)
Cole Carrigg, TJ Rumfield, Mickey Moniak, Zac Veen
As someone who lives in Colorado, I can tell you fans get more joy from free tacos than from actual Rockies wins. Those tacos are always way more likely to happen in Coors Field, which is awesome since Colorado has a full week of games at home! That’s a beautiful sight for our streamers because we can ride any of these Rockies bats. The simple fact is, Colorado will be projected to score 5-6 runs in every game at Coors Field. It’s not like they face any daunting pitching staffs either, facing a Cardinals team that ranks 20th in ERA and WHIP while Baltimore is 21st in WHIP and 22nd in wOBA.
Now that we have this amazing schedule under our belts, let’s talk about some of these hitting streamers! Carrigg is our favorite option of these Colorado bats, collecting a .374 OBP and .855 OPS at home this year. Rumfield has been hitting cleanup regularly, registering a .290 AVG, .382 OBP and .822 OPS. Moniak doesn’t play every day, but he has a .264 AVG and .821 OPS since signing with the Rockies last season. Veen is one of the top prospects in this organization after accruing a .327 AVG and 1.037 OPS at Triple-A this year.

SAGNOF (Saves/Steals Ain’t Got No Face)
Steals Specialists
Spencer Jones (NYY)
Jones looks like a true 20-20 threat, recording five steals on seven attempts over his last 18 outings.
AJ Ewing (NYM)
Ewing had 105 steals across 258 minor league games and has picked up six over his last eight outings. He’s done that while hitting .128, so imagine how many he’d get if he was actually hitting!
Saves Specialists
Jordan Romano (COL)
It sickens me to recommend Romano, but he’s the Rockies closer. He has nine saves over his last 16 appearances.
Ben Joyce (LAA)
Joyce is throwing 105 MPH right now and has re-established himself as the Angels’ closer. He just allowed his first earned run of the season in his last appearance and now has three saves over his last six outings.

Thanks TRJB, and I like CES too…..ROS, Culpepper or Meidroth? Thanks
I love you suggestion to pick up Lopez. I would drop Framber Valdez.
1. Would you make that move?
Of course, I do have 184 innings left. A lesson for next year. Have a great rest of the weekend
Thanks!!
