It’s FanDuel slate value starting pitching time and today’s contestant is Jonathan Hernandez ($5,500) of the Texas Rangers.  He’s facing the Baltimore Orioles and their 12th ranked offense.  Now on to the rest of the picks to use up all those free dollars.

Boston Right Handed Bats: The Red Sox are facing the Yankees’ J.A. Happ at Fenway.  Righties are slugging to a .834 OPS against Happ.  Mookie Betts ($4,500) and J.D. Martinez ($4,200) are the best bets and the most expensive.  Xander Bogaerts ($3,900) is probably the best value for assured production.  Christian Vazquez ($2,800) is the best pure value, and is hitting .283 at home with a .789 OPS.  Brock Holt isn’t right handed, but he’s a steal at $2,500 considering he hits .330 at home with a .855 OPS.

Angels Bats: The Angels are facing righy Dylan Covey of the White Sox and likely a lot of the sad White Sox  pen as Covey hasn’t been pitching very much.  When he does it is to a 6.88 ERA on the season.  Mike Trout is back on track, but coming at a slight discount ($4,600).  Double check that he is in the lineup as he had a slight toe issue that should be minor.  Shohei Ohtani is dirt cheap at $2,900.  Justin Upton has hit three homer in September and is also cheap at $2,900, a great play today.  David Fletcher is a steal at 3rd base ($2,700), and has averaged over 6 FanDuel points per game in September, and multiple hits in five of his last seven games.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Incredibly for this time of year it is clear sailing across the MLB today.
