There are no 3rd basemen to target for 2022 fantasy baseball. Thank you, have a good day. *finger to earbud* Okay, I’m being told I need to give you some 3rd basemen to target. Who the hell is this in my earbud anyway? Is this…FUTURE ME?! Or. Dot dot dot. Past me?! Oh my God! Well, whomever is in my ear pulling my strings like a modern-day Geppetto, they’re telling me I have to give you some 3rd basemen to target late. Too bad, because they all suck! Excuse the exposition and this clunky intro into aforementioned exposition, but here’s the catchers to target1st basemen to target2nd basemen to target, and shortstops to target. These 3rd basemen to target are being drafted after 200 overall. Hopefully, you drafted Rafael Devers or Jose Ramirez already, because, otherwise, you’re screwed. There are upcoming RCL drafts, if you wanna get rowdy and/or bawdy. Now, this is a (legal-in-all-countries-except-Indonesia) supplement to the top 20 3rd basemen for 2022 fantasy baseball. Click on the player’s name where applicable to read more and see their 2022 projections. Anyway, here’s some 3rd basemen to target for 2022 fantasy baseball:

Yoan Moncada (ESPN 205) Moncada is way higher than the 200 ADP overall cut-off in Yahoo and NFBC, but bless ESPN’s heart for giving me a few guys I can list here. If being honest, still not sure what to make of Moncada, does he have real power? Speed? Average? What is…life? So many questions, but if you can get him at a decent price, it’s worth the gamble on upside.

Adalberto Mondesi (ESPN unranked) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA–Breathe, Grey! Breathe! Adalberto Mondesi is unranked by ESPN?! Is this real life? He’s ranked for 3rd basemen between Brian Anderson and Wilmer Flores. I’m sorry, I feel like I’m taking mescaline.

Jeimer Candelario (NFBC 223, Yahoo 264) Already gave you my Jeimer Candelario sleeper. If you print it out and give it to strangers, they’ll thank you, thinking it’s coupons.

Alec Bohm (NFBC 286, ESPN unranked, Yahoo 220) Went to look at what I was saying last year for Alec Bohm, and, boy, was there some nonsense there! Was I hit on the head prior to last season? Was I hit on my head recently to forget if I was hit on my head last year? Oh, I know! I repeatedly hit my head on the wall after drafting Bohm last year! Listen, you cool dogs and five cats, I don’t like Alec Bohm, but 3rd base after pick 200 is ugly, so there’s just so many choices here. Between Bohm and, say, Eugenio Suarez hundred picks prior? Well, eff it in the eff hole, try Bohm again. If a young player as Bohm was touted last year, then maybe we shouldn’t throw out the baby with the bathwater. If we thought Bohm could go 25/.280 last year, maybe he can still. Oh, I doubt it, but you never know.

Cavan Biggio (NFBC 289, ESPN 239, Yahoo 263) Kinda same thoughts for Biggio as I had for Bohm. Biggio was terrible last year, but he might do something. Will he? Well, I can give you about two dozen reasons why he won’t. But shifting through all of those, and arriving at the reasons why he can be something:  He went 20/20/.250 one year in Double-A and he really never had a chance to find his footing in Triple-A or the majors. He finds his footing, like he did in Double-A, and flashes power and speed without killing you in average. Am I overlooking about 25 red flags to be positive here? Yes, that’s the point of this post!

Joey Wendle (NFBC 365, ESPN unranked, Yahoo 289) “Marlins gave up a prospect they liked for Joey Wendle,” was told to me when I asked someone close to the Marlins, “You really think Wendle gets a lot of at-bats?” Not only a lot of at-bats, but Wendle might be the leadoff or two-hole hitter, depending if they want Jorge Soler hitting leadoff or second. Yes, you read that correctly. I wouldn’t make you do a spit take for no reason.

Jose Miranda (NFBC 428, ESPN unranked, Yahoo unranked) With playing time (which he might not have), Miranda could be a poor man’s Ty France. Call him, Canada. Snap! Kidding, I love you, Canada. The Twins never spend money — the Twins wouldn’t even buy a vowel for Kent Hrbek — but they went out and got Correa, and traded for Urshela, so I don’t know where the at-bats are coming from for Miranda,

Kevin Smith (NFBC 691, ESPN unranked, Yahoo unranked) At least the A’s found a director for their sequel called No-Moneyball. Interesting storyline to follow this season for the A’s is will they let Kevin Smith play 3rd base in giant jorts. Kevin Smith likely sucks, like his last 20 years of movies, but maybe he can sneak into a 20/10 season. *cough* With a .205 average. *cough*
