Another day, another outfield update… This time, fate has thrown us a curveball. Cody Bellinger has been on fire lately, hitting an impressive .400 with a 1.000 SLG and three homers in the past week. Has he recaptured his form from years past? Maybe he’s been honing his swing or practicing some secret belly rub technique? Whatever the reason, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye on Cody’s hot streak as the potential is there to be a game-changer over the final stretch. And therein lies the rub, can he keep it up? With five home runs over the last 8 games that extend to before the break, something is afoot as he now sits at over a .300 AVG for the season and 12/12 in power and speed. Anyway, let’s see what else has been happening…

Chas McCormick – 3 HR over last week and hitting over .600. His playing time boost with Yordan out could be coming to a close soon, but there is no hotter schmotato in all the land. It also helps that he’s been facing the Angels bullpen. Which, I wouldn’t mind streaming against in the near future while 3 of their primary HLDs guys are on the shelf.

Kyle Schwarber – It’s not June anymore, but Schwarbtember could be hitting a bit early (or late, not sure which yet). Either way, he’s got a hot stick and hitting .287 with 3 HR over the last week. Sniffing .300 for him is like another batter hitting .400, so context is key.

Kerry Carpenter – Another member of the 3 HR week club. One thing that surprised me is he’s actually making decent contact when he’s made contact. In his ABs thus far he’s sporting a 13% barrel rate, so there could be some sneaky value in there as march through August.

Adam Frazier – On another patented Frazy Train hot streak hitting .400 in the last week. Not the most ideal schedule coming up, but there could be some value in the Rays games with their rotation as decimated as it is right now.

Henry Davis – Young man has found his rhythm. Filling the stat sheet over the last week by contributing across the board. Pirates have been one of those odd sources of offense we didn’t expect. And with Endy up now, it might get even better with the small chance they could be buyers at the deadline.

Luke Raley – 2 steals in the last 4 games and continuing to provide insane value. Go on, guess what his stat line is right now? 15/11/.280! You wish your OF2 was going that good. Despite all the injuries to their pitching staff, the Tampa outfield has been wildly valuable. Oh, and Jose Siri keeps hitting bombs too.

Oswaldo Cabrera – Recalled. He has struggled to make good contact this season but seems to be getting hot. Albeit against the Angels pitching. Nevertheless, yesterday he took a walk on top of hitting the ball hard, so that could be a good sign going forward.

Mickey Moniak – With Trout on the shelf for a month+, this is his time to shine. Hey Mickey, you so fine, you so fine… sorry. He has done nothing but produce since being called up. And with Adell injured (and might get traded), I would pick him up any and everywhere I can. He’ll continue to hit in the top/middle of the lineup in front of or behind the GOAT. Which is the best spot in all of baseball right now aside from the ATL lineup.

As always, the individual ranks (and to a degree the dollars) don’t really matter, what’s important are the tiers, and more important than that—your roster construction. Any outfielder not listed, consider them tier 5.
