Well, it’s August, and we’re fast approaching the end of another baseball season. We’re not quite there yet, and with little over a month left in the season, those of you who are in the top-half of your respective leagues, hey, anything can happen. There are such things as miraculous runs, so don’t give up yet. For those of you lagging in the standings, it’s only natural to start looking at what’s next. For the die-hards, fantasy baseball never ends, very true. There is no losing. Only learning. Which still sounds like losing, but whatever. But for those of you who need a breather, why not (shameless plug alert) try fantasy football? Over in my neck of the woods, we have a beginners guide if you’ve never played, a draft kit to help you prepare, and my charming self. That last reason should have closed the deal. Maybe.

Follow me after the jump to take a look back at what was week 18 AND a look forward on all things Razzball, including some player suggestions for next week, straight from Razzball’s Streamonator, Hitter-Tron, and DFSBot!

This Past Week…

Mike, as always, led off the week with his prospect power rankings. I still don’t know they are powerful, but I will admit, when I read them, I do get physically overwhelmed. I’m not quite sure that means, but I’m sticking with it. He also went over all the prospects that were traded during the deadline.

David set you up with all the latest injury news, and then went in-depth on what to do with Jeff Samardzija.

J-FOH, ranking everything from hitters to 90’s hip-hop to the RCL’s this year… actually, it’s just those three things, brought another set of rankings for your viewing pleasure. Everything about J-FOH is viewing pleasure, just for your information.

JB not only did his starting pitcher rankings, but somehow managed to convince us that Daniel Norris is the son of Chuck Norris. No one is the son of Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris son’s you. (That’s how those work, right?)

Grey and JB covered all the trades at the deadline, all in rap form in last week’s Podcast. Okay, so it wasn’t in rap form, but Grey rapped something… allured? You should be.

Ripe with all the new bullpen situations, Lance went over all the SAGNOF implications for the rest of the season.

Rudy made his monthly visit and talked about how Razzball has been doing via daily predictions. Hint! Quite well…

Magoo talked Adam Eaton, Colby Lewis, and Tyler Clippard, and then focused a spotlight on Carlos Santana.

Smokey had your Bullpen Update, Malamoney talked Adam Eaton in his Points League Round-up, and Eliot talked Mark Teixeira in his OPS Round-up.

Next Week…

The Streamonator really likes Mike Fiers, ranking him 26th overall next week, but at 68% owned, a nice pickup might be Brett Anderson, ranked 34th and just 24% owned.

The Hitter-Tron has Yonder Alonso as the 41st overall hitter, but I prefer Johnny Giavotella if you are starved at the middle-infield. He’s your 48th ranked hitter next week.

And be sure to check in everyday for our Daily Fantasy content, led by Sky and company. They’ve been bringing you all the tips and strategy you need to win that cash-monies. Our DFSBot is also there to help guide your way to that aforementioned cash-monies. Mmmm, cash-monies.
