Prospect Jesus (Ralph Lifshitz) has plenty of children throughout the Minor Leagues. Players he has a unique affinity for, all of whom generally become stud Major Leaguers. But how many of them actually share a name? Is it Jesus, Jr? In an age rampant with Juniors in the game, maybe we should refer to Jesus Luzardo as Jesus, Jr. There’s no denying his talent, so sit back and listen to just how good Ralph’s offspring is, and how he can help your Fantasy Baseball teams!
Other Pitchers We’ve Covered
Josh James | Patrick Corbin | German Marquez | Yusei Kikuchi | Walker Buehler |
Hey fellas, I always look forward to your guys’ videos. I’m in a dilemma, I have a strong chance to go for the championship this year. I have Luzardo, and was thinking of going for Walker Buehler. I saw the previous video on Walker yesterday, and am also worried that he won’t be as available for me in the fantasy playoffs. I figured an offer of Luzardo, Buxton, Luis Patino for Walker would do it, but just not sure if I should pull the trigger. I guess it hinges on the chances of Luzardo pitching this year or not. Any thoughts?
These shows are really well done. I like the focus on one player at a time. Nice work guys!
@Mike: Thanks, Mike! Digging your takeover of the Prospects as well. Actually had someone ask me on FB about this very player, and your very ranking of him at #31… so, for a friend, why so low?! Interestingly enough, when we started this series three years ago, we would do blocks of 3 players at a time, which after a while I started breaking up into 3 pieces, which after a while we thought “why not just do one at a time” lol. So there’s the history.
Nice! I just don’t like investing in pitchers in general. So consider it old man salty pitcher hate and nothing else haha.
Good job, guys. Really enjoy the in depth break down of the players you have covered. Look forward to many more. thank you.
@Packers: No, thank you! It is much appreciated
what would you project for his innings, ks, era , whip? steamer says not many innings.
@Pasha: All comes down to when he gets the call. I’m penciling him in for 150 total this season. Steamer has him at 92, which only account for MLB… that said, it’s actually pretty generous by them, but would point to them thinking a mid-June call up. I don’t think it’ll take that long, personally. His struggles at Triple-A don’t really scare me, and based on them, I’m not entirely convinced they don’t start him back at Double-A and promote him straight from there. If all goes well, May could be the month, which would make his innings more in the 125 range. I’m going to say 3’ish ERA, 1.00’ish WHIP, and 9.5 K/9
Good stuff, catching up on a bunch of these right now on the Vimeo app. Andy, are we going to be graced with the presence of the Baseball Show through Razzball once the season starts?
@knucks: We actually started the show on 12/26 with Josiah Gray as our guest. I’m having issues with audio right now, so going live is wonky, and then Ralph and I are both so busy we decided to just focus on the Draft Guide. To answer your question tho, YES! The Show will be back (date tbd) and it will be right here on the World Famous Razzball! Thanks for your continued support :)
