So, this is a little unrelated to fantasy — don’t worry, we’ll get to stuff that is 100% unrelated in a second — but here’s the setup, Cal Quantrill (6 IP, 2 ER, 8 baserunners, 3 Ks, ERA at 4.09) threw a good pitch to get Reese McGuire to pop-up and celebrated on the mound. […]

Weekly Razzball news delivered straight to your inbox.
This week marks the beginning of a bottleneck on the minor league baseball calendar.
The Arizona and Florida Complex Leagues will finish their regular seasons on Thursday before a brief playoffs. After the postseason, some of these players will head to a practice facility after a 50-game season. Some will get promoted to Low-A to continue their development via in-game repetitions. You can probably guess which outcome most players would prefer. It’d be a long off-season if you weren’t going to play an actual game again for about seven months.
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s time for post All-Star Break SAGNOF Razzjiblets. I hope you are ready for a fun and exciting stretch run in fantasy baseball and that your teams are all doing better than mine are. I missed the cutline in Razzslam thanks to an awful week 16 performance. In RCLs my best position is 10th. Other […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Recently my family took me to Colorado. That’s a high elevation, especially when my home in Eastern NC is at 4 feet above sea level. It’s also a high elevation when you factor that they love to hike and I, well, tend to take after Gimli in Lord of the Rings while they are built […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? This post is called giving flowers. I am at the headquarters for 1-800-Flowers, answering questions like, “Why didn’t I just call them?” and “What do you mean you don’t know our number?” and “If you’re allergic, that’s even more of a reason not to be here, isn’t it?” Questions like that! But you know what, […]

Please, blog, may I have some more?Just a quick hitter this week as we come out of the All-Star Break. Hope everyone is feeling energized for a the final 40% of the season. Because there is very little movement during a 3 day week, I’m going to take a look at the current stats that VinWins has collected and we’ll compare […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? Can we officially do away with the notion that the HR Derby negatively affects its participants for the 2nd half? Teoscar went yard last night and Bobby Witt almost hit a cycle amongst his near perfect start to the 2nd half. The narrative does exist, however, that HR derby participants had to change their swing […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?On this week’s Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, Grey and B_Don talk about some of the happenings after the MLB All-Star Game. We start with some of the promotions with Jacob Wilson’s bad injury luck, Nacho(ooooo) Alvarez Jr., and Tyler Phillips coming off a strong start. Next up, we talk about a few big name starting […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?A haltingly groggy voice, “I’m so proud of my son, Hunter,” says Joe…..Greene! C’mon! What Joe did you think I was going to say? “Hunter really knows how to avoid the crack,” Joe stammers, “Of the bat.” Joe Greene again! C’mon! Yesterday, Hunter Greene went 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! We’re BACK on a lovely Monday afternoon in July, and all is right in the world. The All-Star festivities are fading in the rearview mirror and we can all breathe a sigh of relief that we have a full slate of baseball ahead of us this week! I hope you enjoyed […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Folx, I hate to tell you, but there wasn’t much baseball last week. Apparently MLB called upon their own Avengers and paid them screen time to hit balls into the stratosphere as a diversion tactic to the real terrors facing the world: county fair season. Y’all have county fairs where you live? Maybe a better question is, “If you needed a spa or your driveway re-sealed or some chicken on a stick, do you know where you’d go?” Why, you’d go to the county fair! But I digress. With no meaningful stats collected in the last week, you can click my user name up above and find last week’s article with my most recent adds. Nothing really changed since then.
This week, I’m delving into the deeper side of fantasy baseball: What to do to save your team, no matter where you are in the standings. As always, it’s your team and leagues vary — if you know your league has obscure settings that need special treatment, you do you and don’t worry about this advice.
