Happy Monday, Razzball faithful! Welcome to MARCH! The calendar flipping over means it’s excitement time for us fantasy baseball enthusiasts! Spring Training games have begun to give us the smallest sample sizes to analyze or, at the very least, to acknowledge. Spring break is nearly here for the kids. RazzSlam leagues are finalized AND the […]

When I first came to Truss with the idea for an all-in-one, lightning round between myself and my ego and my id and my super-intelligent idea-go (I think that’s what it’s called), he was super-psyched. At least, that’s what I assume the [thumbs up] emoji means. Then he asked if I knew enough to make it longer than one paragraph. Very funny, Mr. Truss. Say that three times fast now and then tell me who has the better user name. ENYWHEY.

It’s fantasy baseball draft season. My home dynasty auction league with Jakkers finished on Saturday morning (I got Roki Sasaki for $40), a bunch of LABR and Tout Drafts finished last week (you should see Truss’ team, it’s delightful), and TGFBI and RazzSlam start this next week. A bunch of y’all are probably in the midst of drafting or about to do some crazy March Madness pick ’em to determine draft order (like Coolwhip’s home league, “SuperNuts”, which I just joined). In the moment of the draft, it can be hard to Google the hell out something real quick in 90 seconds before your draft timer is up. “Oh shizz, I forgot about Dre” you say as you write a joke millenials will maybe understand, only to realize via Razzball player universe search that there are no MLB players named Dre this year. Good one, EWB. ENYWHEY part deux.

If you need to bookmark a page for advice during draft season, consider this one.

Welcome back to another foray into the Top 100 hitters for the 2025 fantasy baseball season. Last week, we covered the first few rounds and the top 20 hitters in our draft rankings. This week, we dive into the players with slightly wider variations in their potential outcomes to close out the top 40 hitters. Digging into this part of the draft is like ordering your favorite coffee: you know you’re getting good value with your medium latte, but every once in a while, the barista goes rogue with an extra shot of espresso, giving you more than you bargained for. Terrible analogies aside, this part of the draft should still provide reliable value. However, if you’re not careful, you might be reaching beyond a player’s true ability. Buckle up, grab that medium latte, and let’s break down the top 40 hitters for the 2025 fantasy baseball season.

Here’s a link to my write up of the American League version of this league:

In that article, I discuss my approach to this league: specifically, that I try to get money spent in smart places early, sit through the middle, and battle it out for every dollar in the end game. That’s kind of my general approach in auctions but especially in this one because the money is twice as fake here. Once you’re full at 2B, SS, MI and U, you cannot nominate or bid on a middle infielder. Oh and something I forgot to mention last time is the reserve draft. The auction only covers the starting lineups, then we switch to a seven-round reserve draft to close out the night. This creates something of a false auction that leaves value pools commensurate to the depth at each position.

Welcome back everyone! After weeks of counting down the top dynasty players starting at No. 400, this is the week when the final 25 players are revealed.

It’s been a long journey, but a fun one. But the end is here so let’s look at the breakdown and then get to the rankings.

Not surprising, the largest group of players fall in the Age 20-24 range with 12 this week. On the other end, the 30-year-old and up group, I still have four players making my top 24. But when you see who those four players are, you shouldn’t be surprised to see them here.

And if you have been wondering where all the top outfielders have been, well, you found them. Twelve outfielders make my final top 25 players, followed by four shortstops. This shouldn’t be too surprising as the top athletes are playing at short or in the outfield.

Age of Players
Age 20-24 – 12
Age 25-29 – 9
Age 30+ – 4
Position Breakdown
SP – 3
1B – 1
2B – 1
SS – 4
3B – 3
OF –12
IF/OF – 1

Anyway, enough small talk. Let’s get to the rankings.

What’s poppin’, Razzpimples? I figure it’s about that time of year when y’all wanna see my rankings. Thing is, I don’t rightly enjoy them. They’re format-dependent, and they’re apt to change between now and Opening Day for some reason or another (injury, free agent signing, etc.). Plus, we’ve got preseason Player Raters for that sorta […]

In our 81st episode, Mike Couillard and Jeremy Brewer are joined by Sam Wirsching of the Pallazzo Podcast and The Dynasty Guru to preview the AL West teams. For each team in the division, we each pick a player that for fantasy purposes we would buy, sell, and pick to click. You can find us on bluesky […]
