There is a lot of news out there these days regarding tariffs. I mean, it’s mid-March and we should be saturating ourselves with Spring Training news, right? Unfortunately, that’s not the world we live in right now, so we need to make the best of it. So, let’s set the record straight…What exactly is a […]

Weekly Razzball news delivered straight to your inbox.
We’re less than a week away from the first pitch of the MLB season, with the Dodgers and Padres set to kick things off in Tokyo. Spring training battles are wrapping up, lineups are taking shape, and fantasy managers are making their final tweaks before the grind begins. As we continue our journey through the top 100 fantasy hitters, we’ve reached the top 80—a mix of rising stars, steady veterans, and a few question marks that could make or break a season. Some players are surging up draft boards with their spring performances, while others have red flags waving like a third-base coach on a two-out double. With the countdown to real baseball nearly over, let’s dive into the second-to-last segment in our series breaking down the Top 100 Hitters for the 2025 season as we get closer to Opening Day.
Please, blog, may I have some more?I’m not sure what qualifies as bold anymore, but I know I want to write things that help readers find value in their leagues. Here’s a link to my bold predictions from last year in which I say Elly De La Cruz will have a 30/50 season. It’s easy enough to say this now, but at that time, much of the fantasy world was in doubt, including Razzball’s fearless leader, as he mentions in his recent Draft Champions Draft Recap: I Choo-Choo Cruz You. I have to lean into the Elly call because a lot of those predictions were not good. I thought Anthony Rendon would watch “The Fan” and start hitting somehow, for instance. Gonna try and do a little better this year.
Please, blog, may I have some more? The Major League baseball season is just around the corner, but the fantasy baseball season is in full swing as drafts and auctions are happening every day and twice on Sunday.
With the fantasy season now here, so too is the constant search for the hidden gems, those players who will actually be the difference between winning and losing. With that in mind, I present New York Yankees catcher Austin Wells as this week’s Up-and-Coming Dynasty Player.
Wells started the 2024 season splitting time behind the plate but took over the role as the primary catcher midway through the season. When you look at his stats, you may wonder why I like him. So let’s find out why.
Please, blog, may I have some more?If you’re as online as a normal Razzball reader would be, you’ve seen a lot of talk about MLB Statcast’s new bat tracking metrics. Bat Tracking data was officially introduced to the public last year on May 13, starting with data for the 2024 season, and since then they’ve backfilled data up to the All […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Good News: I do not have to discuss Bobby Witt Jr. and Austin Riley because both are healthy after getting drilled by pitches this week! Bad News: We still have plenty of injury updates to cover while weeks away from domestic Opening Day!! Don’t you just love pain? I mean, baseball. Let’s dive into this […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Opening Day is finally less than two weeks away, but before we get to our regular season deep league programming, it’s time for a draft recap of my eponymous Laura Holt Challenge RCL. I may be a bit biased, but it’s hard to imagine a more competitive league in the land of fantasy baseball (starting […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? With only about two weeks left until every Major League Baseball team has had their Opening Day, we are officially on the back nine of 2025 Spring Training. If you haven’t had it already, your fantasy baseball draft is likely coming up in one of the next two weekends. That means it’s time to take […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Last year I had an accident where I slammed my head into a wall, which caused me to say stupid things, and I said Elly De La Cruz was overrated. Thankfully, I had an operation, removing the idiot from my brain and I have a chance to make amends. As they always say, “Make amends, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? The other night, 3/11, 3, 3, 11…sorry, 90s/early 2000s PTSD kicked in there for a second. I took part in the 2025 Memorial Magazine League over on CBS with many fine people you know.. We have draft coverage in the AL and NL only leagues from The Itch and Grey, but as the only Razzballer…BALLER, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Ahhh, brings back memories, as this song hit right in my prime. Yes, I’m an old f’er, which segues perfectly…not Son Segwaying over to Grey’s neck of the woods in Los Angeles….Although, that would be fun, but the over/under on me getting splattered all over the concrete is 1 mile. Anyways, before I begin this […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?In our 83rd episode, Mike Couillard and Jeremy Brewer are joined by Razzball’s very own The Itch (Nick Roos) to discuss prospect buys for both fantasy and card purposes. The Itch will give background on what he loves about each prospect and then Jeremy provides a corresponding PC pick. You can find us on bluesky at @cardscategories.bsky.social, @mcouill7.bsky.social, and @jbrewer17.bsky.social. […]
