If you’re really looking to save some cash on the mound, direct your attention to Chris Flexen, SP: $7,700. He’ll be looking to flex all over an Athletics team that finds itself in the bottom third of the league in batting average. They do like to hit dingers but are also striking out at a high clip which should help out even though Flexen isn’t a high K per nine guy. What he does do is limit the damage and not give out free passes. That’s a recipe for success.

Sean Manaea, SP: $9,100 – The best player at the best price. Manaea isn’t that far off the lead and his price is far more attractive than the top guy. I like the match-up and the numbers he’s been putting up recently. He’s a great option on the mound today,

Walker Buehler, SP: $10,500 – His projection is slightly better than Manaea but his price is higher. That said, he is the top projected pitcher today and that’s worth something.

Charlie Morton, SP: $8,800 – He’s put together a nice run of strong fantasy performances and is capable of putting up a monster point total. The Phillies come in as a middle-of-the-pack offense so that match-up shouldn’t scare you away.

Jared Walsh, C/1B: $3,400 – He’s been pretty darn good this season. The power bat is real and he can show it off today even in a tough match-up.

Ji-Man Choi, C/1B: $2,400 – When you see a deal like this you take it and run. He’s projected to be right there with the top guys today, yet his price is barely above the reserves. Lock him in.

Brandon Lowe, 2B: $3,100 – Hate the average, but I do like the 21 bombs. The projection looks good for him and he only needs one swing to make your day.

Rougned Odor, 2B: $2,700 – The average stinks, but he’s come out the break with a couple of bombs and that bodes well for him today.

Austin Riley, 3B: $3,000 – He’s come out of the break nicely, and was racking up hits even before that. I’m a big fan of him today.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa, 3B: $2,400 – IKF should be extra fresh after getting yesterday off. He won’t win you your contests but he should be a solid contributor.

Dansby Swanson, SS: $3,300 – He can be streaky due to the strikeouts but he can be the man for you today.

Wander Franco, SS: $2,700 – It hasn’t been the best start for the top prospect, but it’s just a matter of time. At his price, you can afford to take a chance the breakout starts now.

Shohei Ohtani, OF: $4,500 – How could you not want him in your lineup, even at this price? He’s only got one bomb since the break and he’ll need to pump those numbers up if he wants to set a new single-season record. We know he’s capable of some absolute monster games so he can almost win it for you by himself.

Adolis Garcia, OF: $3,000 – He’s due for a bomb or two after blasting 22 in the first half.

Randy Arozarena, OF: $2,800 – He’s woken up in a big way coming out of the break with three bombs already. That’s the kind of power streak we like to see.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

The forecast is looking pretty good today with only a low chance of precipitation. That means it’s all systems go.

Doing Lines In Vegas

You can expect some fireworks between the Yankees and Red Sox.  Rangers/Tigers and Angels/Twins should also get in on the fun. On the flip side we’re looking at a pitcher’s duel between the Giants and Dodgers.
