When Sky came to me and asked if I was interested in DraftKings I said “sure, sounds like fun”. When I received the e-mail asking me what day I would like to do it, I said “Thursday, less games, less room for error”. When he told me my article was due this Thursday I panicked, I thought I was getting an invite to play daily fantasy on his dime. Oh how wrong I was…..Now I feel like Matt Williams playing blindfolded dartboard lineup card. Now, could we call this the blind leading the blind? Not exactly, but it sure is going to be an adventure. Actually I have been playing DraftKings lately and I have to say this shizz is the real deal Holyfield….or at least as real as all those real kids he has out there. I believe it’s 20 in Las Vegas and 15 in Atlantic City. Go figure. It’s a lot. That’s the last time I trust Sky, you would’ve thought I’d learned my lesson when he sold me his Mexico timeshare, Ciudad Juarez, and told me to buy on Atlanta Braves starters this year, Medlen and Beachy, and thought Fister going to the NL was a good fantasy move. Thanks Sky! Before I move on I want you all to know about the sweet spot tourney where they have $400,000 in prizes to hand out. It’s a two dollar buy in and is the best two dollar fun you can have. Pass on the extra tall can tonight and go get in this thing. It’s a friggin blast.
A little about me, I like to play roto and I like to rosterbate….like a LOT! I have had my phone taken away at family dinners, I’ve been late for more things than I would like to remember because I just can’t stop tweaking my line ups, and I have been told to shave my palms because it’s getting a little disgusting. I will ruin a perfectly good team by adding and dropping good players because they can’t play every day and I need someone to play every friggin day. Here’s the deal, you sign up, throw a few duckets into your DraftKings account and go crazy. No, not Miley Cyrus Crazy, I mean go play and have fun crazy. Seriously, it’s so easy even a JACKass Full of Hate can do it. You can use Hitter-Tron and Stream-o-Nator to get a baseline started, from there it’s really up to you. For example, I stacked some White Sox on Tuesday and made some other solid picks and finished with a good payout out of 5,500 players. It’s not Sky good, but what it did give me was some house dollars to play. I haven’t been that glued to a game since I heard Morganna was in the stands. I guess I should start talking about players you should add and the weather and what not, but I like chatting it up with y’all. I have a confession, I’ve been very distracted lately helping my daughter put together her Lego sets. Damn those things are addicting. I’d go drop $2,000 at the Lego store if the baby’s mama would let me. They’re fun and no I don’t want to share my Metalbeard with any of you, he’s mine and you can’t play with him.

Jerry Mejia, SP: $7,400 – He gets the free swinging Braves today who are the 3rd worst team in baseball for K% and were the third worst team last year. He’s a great value play for DraftKings that loves the K. I mean they really love the k. Like Grey loves Giancarlo love.
Yan Gomes, C:$3,700 – He’s at hitter friendly U.S. Cellular tomorrow against John Danks, who he is 2 for 2 against with two doubles. Maybe tomorrow he puts one over the fence. He was Sky’s Deep League Catcher Nookie and is owned by me in a couple of leagues. Good value and good match-up….now go put him in your line-up….I’ll wait for you to get back.
Nick Swisher, 1B: $3,700 – If you spent all your money on your starting pitching and outfield then I suggest taking a chance on Swisher. He’s a hot .333 lifetime vs. Danks with two home runs. Wind won’t be a huge factor but a favorable ballpark is what it is….Gold!
Cody Asche, 3B: $4,200 – Flyball pitcher Estrada comes to the mini park of Philly and it won’t be this kind of Estrada Celebration. The Phillies are going to tee off on him and put a few over the fences. Yeah that’s my bold call…drops mic!
Jose Bautista, OF: $4,800 – the keynote speaker for my Stack Attack tomorrow. “….as I stand here before you as you have graduated into your first Draft Kings. I have one piece of advice and that is I will deliver and you can now move back into your parents….uh, I mean roommates house.
Domonic Brown, OF: $4,000 – he’s hitting .375 on the year and is really due for his first home run. Not a pre-season favorite of mine but every Dom has his day. Someone needs to give Grey something to write about for Friday.
I’m Only Happy When It Rains
We got 18 MPH winds blowing out to left field in Minnesota tomorrow. The park factor can be shown the backseat for right handed bats tomorrow. In Washington it’s 18 mph wind to dead center and could spell a whole lotta yikes with a side of ouch. But I’m sure Stephen Strasburg will be fine *crosses fingers*
Doing Lines In Vegas
MINvsOAK at 8 1/2. As mentioned above, those winds could blow that to the over fast. Or the game could just blow with a lot of deep fly balls to the warning track. Sorry, my inner Debbie Downer came out for a bit.
NYYvsBOS at 8 1/2. If the Clay Buchholz of last week shows up, 8 of that is gonna come care of his arm and in like three innings.
TORvsHOU at 8 1/2. Dallas Keuchel‘s ERA is 7.20 after one game. And to top it off, Houston had to go to it’s bullpen in the 5th inning yesterday. This is a recipe for a beautiful disaster.
