The Yankees take on the A’s and Joe Boyle, who has given up 7 earned runs on two separate occasions in this young season. Wind is expected to be blowing out to right field at Yankee Stadium Wednesday. As for the Blue Jays, they’re lined up to face Alec Marsh of the Royals. His worst is not nearly as bad as Boyle’s, but he has given up 4 runs to the Mets and 3 to the White Sox. He’s susceptible to having some runs scored on him. With that said, we’ll have a nice little stack with the Yankees and Blue Jays for this Wednesday’s DFS evening slate on DraftKings. The games start at 7:05pm EST.

Reynaldo Lopez, SP: $9,200 – Pitching is scarce for this slate. I’ve gotten burned a few times taking the pitcher facing the worst lineup. Max Fried just got done carving up this Marlins lineup with a complete game shutout giving up only 3 hits and striking out 6 in 92 pitches. My mind is telling me the Marlins don’t get shutdown like this again, but my heart is telling me that they will. They have not scored a run in 18 innings this series against the Braves, and Reynaldo Lopez has pitched pretty well thus far this season. He’s only given up 1 run in 18 innings of work.

Anthony Rizzo, 1B: $3,700 – Normally, Rizzo wouldn’t crack a DraftKings DFS lineup, but with a Yankees stack, we need him in there. He’s rather affordable given his slow start to the season. Remember, the wind is blowing out to right field in this game, so we’re putting entirely too much faith in another Boyle blowup. Rizzo homered Tuesday night, so we’re going to bank on him getting hot at the right time for us on Wednesday.

Oswaldo Cabrera, 3B: $3,800 – Overall a solid value play for a player like Cabrera who averages 7.7 FPPG. It’s been a few weeks since he’s hit a homerun as well, so it’s the perfect time to jump in. Even without the long ball, he still provides solid production to warrant the price tag.

Bo Bichette, SS: $4,400 – It’s tough to argue that Bo Bichette has been living up to expectations this year. Let’s face it, he certainly is not. His price point of $4,400 is intriguing, especially against a guy like Marsh. It’s been a couple weeks since he hit a home run but still provides double-digit point performances. Bo is still a great hitter and player, even with the struggles and he needs to be front and center of a Blue Jays stack.

Alex Verdugo, OF: $3,300 – Value, value, value. Oh, and wind blowing out to right field. Verdugo isn’t a huge power threat, but he has some pop in that bat, and his price point is right around where he’s worth taking the risk on. He’s averaging 8.2 FPPG in his last 10 games (before Tuesday). This Yankees stack has some opportunity to pay big dividends with the lower value players like Verdugo, Rizzo, and Cabrera, and we’re here to take advantage of one of the most inconsistent pitchers in the game right now. The price is too good to pass up on Verdugo here.

Juan Soto, OF: $6,200 – There are not many hitters in the game better than Juan Soto. He gets on base, hits for a high average, and mixes in a little power. Let’s not forget he hits in front of Aaron Judge. Juan Soto averages 10.4 FPPG but hasn’t had above 10 in the last 2 (not counting Tuesday). The equation here is that Joe Boyle is inconsistent and Juan Soto is very consistent. Soto should win most of these battles, so I expect a big game from him.

George Springer, OF: $4,100 – There’s a theme in most of my selections in that these guys have started out struggling, and I’m predicting a breakout soon. It’ll really hurt if it’s a day other than Wednesday, but I digress. Springer is hitting under the Mendoza line to start this season, so I completely understand you not following along with this pick. However, I’m a glutton for punishment, so we’re going to give George Springer a chance to impress. He’s the leadoff, so maybe he puts a smile on our faces on the first pitch of the game. Or maybe he makes us regret every second of it. Time will tell

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

No weather-related issues foreseen as of Tuesday evening, but we’ll never say never when it comes to weather. I am going to use this section to say that there are plenty of options for replacements for rest days. France and Lowe for 1B, and Dansby or Kim for SS. If you run into a 3B issue, don’t sleep on Josh Rojas in Seattle.

Doing Lines In Vegas

The Blue Jays/Royals have an over/under of 9. Hopefully, we’re onto something with the Jays stack. Yankees/A’s over/under is 8.5. Let’s hope it’s Yankees 13-0. The Rangers are favored against the Mariners and the over/under is 9. This is alarming as the Mariners have young star Bryce Miller on the mound against Jon Gray. DraftKings predicting the Rangers get to Miller?  Maybe an underrated DFS stack for GPPs.
