Hi Mike,
1.Would you be patient with Baz and Holmes? Baz’s next start is at Toronto. Holmes’ is home vs Washington.
2. Would you start Baz at Toronto?
4. Thought on picking up Max Scherzer?
Have a good day and Thanks for all your kindness and help!!
1 – Yes to Baz. All of those bad starts have been at home in Tampa, where the Triple-A park is doing him no favors. I’m out on Holmes – the underlying stats have been poor and he’s been a reliever since 2018 now masquerading as a starter. He looks destined to be back in the ‘pen soon.
2 – Yes, much more confident in Baz for road starts.
3 – Max hasn’t been healthy for years now. At his age and skill level, he’s a streaming option at best.
I am both impressed with your detailed on pitchers. very much grateful for all your help!
1. Would you pick up Wacha?
2. If yes, would you start or sit him on the road at Houston?
3. Would you start or sit Wacha at home vs StLouis?
Have a great Friday!
Based on what I know of your team/league from our chats, Wacha would be a streamer-only against CHW, PIT, or COL. All other starts can be ignored unless your pitching staff falls apart.
