Morning Y’all!  Today’s FanDuel slate is shaping up to be an absolute cluster.  Well, every day so far this season has been one.  At this point, any game can get called on a moment’s notice so make sure you are following the news throughout the day.  John Heyman and Jeff Passan are two guys I follow a lot to make sure games have been called due to, and I quote Cardi-b, “Coronavirus”.  Besides the rona, we have several of the 8 games that will have potential weather impacts.  Keep an eye on NY, ATL, CHI, and also COL. With that out of the way, let’s jump into today’s slate.  Several dynamic offenses have really good matchups.  Colorado, Philly, Minnesota, and to an extent the A’s.

New to FanDuel? Scared of feeling like a small fish in a big pond? Well, be sure to read our content and subscribe to the DFSBot for your daily baseball plays. Just remember to sign up through us before jumping into the fray. It’s how we know you care!

I’m focused on two guys right now, neither of which are named deGrom.  deGrom is the best pitcher on the slate, but at his price, you need a W.  Mets can’t get out of their own way and until they do, I’m going to avoid their pitchers.

Walker Buehler, SP: $10,000 – Love the matchup here against the Padres.  Although the Padres lineup is much improved from years past, they still have 6 of the 9 batters in the lineup that k at a rate of > 20% than righties.

Frankie Montas, SP: $7,700 – His prices gives you a lot of flexibility for bats tonight.  He also has stellar matchup against the Mariners.  Outside of Kyle Lewis, there isn’t really much in the Mariners lineup that scares me.  They have 4 guys that k at a > 30% clip against righties.  Hey may be my guy tonight.

Aaron Judge, OF: $4,500 –  What’s there to really be said about Judge at this point?  He’s on a heater.  He has homers in 5 straight and is absolutely destroying the ball.  Over the past week he has a wOBA of .695.  Jake Arrieta is making his season debut.  W/ the Phillies being off for so long, I can’t imagine any of them being sharp.  Especially Arrieta.

Nelson Cruz, OF: $4,200 – I’ll preface this with saying that Cruz is not hot right now.  He’s actually cold.  But what better medicine than a mediocre left.  In his career, Cruz has an ISO of .364 against lefties.  Love the match up here.

Mike Yastrzemski, OF: $3,800 – Any time there’s a game in Coors, you have to look at everyone involved.  Chi-Chi Gonzalez has been susceptible to lefties w/ an ISO against of .231.  Yaz is my home run call of the day and he gets on base 2 more times.

Alex Dickerson, OF: $3,200 – Another cheapie in Coors tonight.  Dickers also had a pretty solid week as he reached base in 3 of the 5 games he played.  He should crack the lineup tonight as the Giants are facing a right hander.

Yasmani Grandal, 1B/C: $2,500 – Ride the hot streak.  5 for his last 9, w/ 5 ribeye’s.  At his price, you can really ask for much production.

Kevin Newman, SS: $2,300 – Close to min priced guy hitting near the top of the lineup.  He’s not going to give you pop, but his cheap price and opportunity should help you get some of the Coors’ bats in + Judge.

Stacks

Top/Obvious – Rockies, Giants, Yankees

Mid Tier – Twins

Lesser Owned – Athletics

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

As I said earlier, keep an eye on the weather tonight.  There are some hot spots that very well could see some rain, especially Atlanta.

Doing Lines In Vegas

As usual, when there’s a game in Colorado, you want part of it.  I will have part of it.  You also have the Phillies potentially playing tonight who will be rusty.  I like Cole there, but weather may be a factor so pitchers will be risky.
