Fantasy owners of Noah Syndergaard ($9,000) certainly haven’t been happy with his performance this season, as Thor has a 4.90 ERA entering tonight. While it’s easy to be concerned with Syndergaard, his 24.5% K-rate is actually an increase from last year, and he’s got an outstanding 2.99 Deserved Run Average. When you consider Syndergaard’s elite stuff and his stellar track record, he becomes a clear buy low candidate. Now is the perfect time to invest as he faces off against the Giants, who are among the weakest lineups in the league with just a .290 wOBA versus righties.

Stephen Strasburg, SP: $11,500 – Strasburg is the most expensive starter on the slate, but his huge strikeout potential makes him a worthwhile play. Strasburg has a 31.3% K-rate on the year and faces a White Sox lineup that has the second highest strikeout-rate in the league versus righties, coming in at 26.4%. You’ll have to sacrifice some payroll, but Strasburg can reward you nicely tonight.
Carlos Santana, 1B: $3,600 – Santana has been on a tear over the last 15 days, posting a 1.068 OPS. You may not have noticed that Santana is actually having a career year at age 33, with a fantastic 139 wRC+ so far. A veteran hitter like Santana is the perfect play against Devin Smeltzer, who is making just his second career start in the bigs.
Rougned Odor, 2B: $2,600 – Odor is a GPP tournament play to consider as a power upside flier. Opposing starter Dylan Bundy has a 1.98 HR/9, and Odor has at least provided some value with seven homers this season. He’s in a great hitter’s park in Texas at a low price.
Justin Turner, 3B: $3,300 – While Turner’s power numbers are down this year, he’s still getting on base at an phenomenal .396 clip. As the Dodgers three-hitter, that’s all you need Turner to do, as he will easily rack up runs and RBI in their overpowered lineup. DBacks starter Taylor Clarke is someone who LA should exploit, as he’s got a 4.76 FIP in 2019.
Jonathan Villar, SS: $3,400 – Villar has put together a monster fantasy campaign with seven homers and 11 steals. His power/speed combo can result in high scoring games, which he can definitely have against Drew Smyly, owner of an abysmal 6.98 ERA.
Ronald Acuna Jr., OF: $4,000 – Acuna is such a juicy play out of the Braves leadoff spot, as he is able to maximize the number of plate appearances he sees every night. He’s absolutely destroying lefties this year with a .302/.383/.642 line, and faces a weak one in Pittsburgh’s Steven Brault.
Avisail Garcia, 3B: $4,300 – Garcia is expected to rejoin the Ray’s lineup tonight, where he will bat leadoff against a lefty. Garcia has been much better against southpaws throughout his career, with a 120 wRC+. He has been one of the league’s hottest hitters in the last two weeks, batting .381 with a 1.090 OPS.
Yasiel Puig, OF: $2,700 – The Reds lineup should have a productive day against Genesis Cabrera, who got rocked by the Phillies in his first start. That means Puig will see lots of RBI opportunities out of the cleanup spot. He’s a cheap way to get power and speed upside, as he has 10 home runs with seven steals.
