If you happened to listen to Ignacio during Walker Buehler’s first start you may have rostered him in some DFS contests and done alright for yourself.  I paired him with Tanaka that night and along with a Coors stack (and Stanton’s 4-4 night) it paid off handsomely.  That was with FantasyDraft pricing Buehler down at $11,100 with nothing but minor league numbers to go on. He’s priced up a bit more ($14,900) today based on one game, but it still should be enough to get you some nice bats for the early slate.  Walker lucked out facing the Marlins in his first start, who rank dead last in team OPS, but the Giants aren’t much better, ranked 25th of 30 teams. The Giants also strikeout just about the same amount as the Marlins, so San Fran isn’t exactly a pitcher’s worst nightmare.  Buehler’s strikeout upside is likely a little limited as is his pitch count, but nonetheless, it should be a good enough start, combined with high priced bats to get you cashing those GPP lineups.

Carlos Carrasco, SP: $24,000 – Finding a pairing for Buehler, I think you need to look for some safer numbers and Carrasco is pitching about as good as it gets right now.  The only downside with Carrasco is Seattle ranks in the bottom three team in strikeouts. Still, if anyone can do it, Cookie can.

David Price, SP: $21,100 – If you’re looking for the first or last style of GPP lineup, Price would probably be your guy.  I could see him shutting the Rays down like he has twice already (14 IP, 0 ER, 10 Ks) or I could see the suddenly red-hot Rays coming in and slamming him in Fenway.  If I were a betting man, I’d bet on Price here though.

Joey Lucchesi, SP: $15,300 – The late slate is a little rough for finding quality starters.  Lucchesi has been hit or miss, but he’s at home at least and has K-upside. #HodgePadreLife

Jack Flaherty, SP: $14,500 – I will take all the Flaherty tonight though.  The kid’s got game, striking out 9 in five innings last time out.  Strikeouts pay the bills in DFS.

Jose Abreu, IF: $8,400 – I hope Abreu starts both ends of the doubleheader, but with recovery from the flu recently, we’ll have to see.  He’ll either be facing Eric Skoglund or Daniel Tillo. Yup.

Mike Moustakas, IF: $8,400 – Ditto for Moustacos, he gets to face Alec Hansen or Carson Fulmer in the doubleheader.  I see a lot of runs in these two games. Stack accordingly.

Lucas Duda, IF: $7,300 – Same as above, but Duda comes at a steep discount.  I don’t want to go and name off all the White Sox and Royals, but I’d certainly be looking to get them in my lineup.

Yonder Alonso, IF: $7,300 – Yonder gets the platoon advantage against Mike Leake.  He of the 6.59 ERA and 5.59 FIP. I could totally see Yonder going yard tonight.

Wil Myers, IF: $x,xxx – The Padres get to face Jason Vargas who will be making his season debut.  He’ll be limited to probably about 80 pitches, but that should be enough to have some damage done against him.  Fire up you Padres righties.

Michael Brantley, OF: $7,700 – I’ve already mentioned Mike Leake’s gross stats above.  Michael Brantley has been hitting clean-up for the Tribe, which is prime position to score some DFS points.

Andrew Benintendi, OF: $9,300 – This will be the third time this season the Sawx have seen Cy Chirinos.  The Rangers were able to figure him out to the tune of 6 runs in 5.2 IP so it’s possible the Sawx will score more than the zero runs they’ve gotten him for so far.  If they do, expect Benny Baseball to be right in the mix.

David Peralta, OF: $8,400 – Would you look at that, Jeremy Hellickson is still in the league.  This, despite the fact he had a 5.43 ERA and 5.77 FIP last season. He’s off to an OK start in two games this year, but don’t expect that to continue long.  Stacking Diamondbacks wouldn’t be a terrible idea.

Leonys Martin, OF: $8,100 – Martin has been hot, hot, hot and the Tigers get to face the corpse of Andrew Cashner’s career.  Cashner is rocking a 5.31 FIP and a 4 BB/9. Neither of those is very good. In hitting friendly Camden Yards, queue up your Tigers!

Josh Reddick, OF: $7,700 – Reddick should find himself in the heart of the Astros order against Daniel Mengden.  Mengden has actually pitched pretty well so far this year, but the Astros offense is just plain nasty and I want a piece of it most nights if possible.

Finally!  We’re all clear!

Doing Lines In Vegas

Carrasco (-240) and Price (-220) are the biggest favorites on the day.  Lance McCullers and the Astros are right there as well (-210). I’m personally fading McCullers thanks to the A’s .792 team OPS, 3rd best in the majors right now (Behind NYY and BOS).  Let someone else pay up for McCullers. TEX@TOR and CIN@MIN both feature 9.5 run totals.
