We already went over the top 20 catchers for 2009 and the top 20 1st first basemen for 2009. Today, it’s all about the top 20 2nd basemen. The 2nd basemen pool is shallow (not as kiddie-sized as the shortstops, but we’ll get to them in the next post). Please, blog, may I have some more?
Last time we checked in, we were 15 points in front of the pack in one league; yeah, lost that one. And we were barely in first in another league, lost that one too. In the Razzball points league, Grey was about 10,000 points up (estimate for exaggeration purposes); yup, came in 2nd there too. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Third base is not getting deeper for 2010 fantasy baseball. It’s just not. If Jacques Cousteau played fantasy baseball and was still alive, he wouldn’t even need a snorkel to see the bottom of the 3rd base basin. Turns out Yahoo’s fantasy baseball doesn’t count the Twins and Tigers game no matter the format. It’s the Keyser Söze of regular season games, I suppose. ESPN, on the other hand, does count it. So that means only one thing. Pick up everyone from either the Tigers or the Twins, if it could mean a championship for you. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Clayton Kershaw has more Ks than innings. Call me a K whore all you want, but that alone is enough for me to get excited about Kershaw in 2010. Do I need to say more? Probably not, but I will. He’ll be 22 in March of 2010. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Chris Carpenter went five innings giving up no runs, allowing 4 baserunners, adding in 6 Ks, driving in 6 runs and five golden… rings. 12 runs for the Cards, but everyone was a ticker tease, except for Carpenter who pitchslapped Kip Wells. Please, blog, may I have some more?

Four months ago, a torn tendon behind his right knee shut Jose Reyes down for the entire season. That’s the good news. In an attempt to return to a team that has been out of the playoff picture since July, Reyes tore his hamstring this week as he ran the bases. Please, blog, may I have some more?
