What is up party people? September really is in full swing now. For those of you fantasy football gurus out there, the Razzball crew has you covered. However, since you’re here I think it would be fair to assume that your interests lie beyond the gridiron. The diamond calls to you. If you build it, they will come. We have entered crunch time, where championships are decided.  As we get down to the nitty-gritty, the options get way more limited. As much as I would love to recommend a guy who is available in 90% of leagues, the truth is that you need results not speculative adds. However, sometimes the stars align a gem such as Logan O’Hoppe is there for the taking. His season can be summed up fairly briefly. He was a highly touted rookie who was billed as an impact bat at catcher (aka fantasy gold) who actually looked like he might deliver on his potential. Then disaster, a shoulder injury knocked him out of action for what appeared to be the rest of the season. I am as surprised as anyone that he wasn’t shut down until next year. I guess that wasn’t really all that brief of a summary but the upshot is that he is back. Not only is he back, he looks better than ever. In the last week alone he has smoked 4 bombs. If you need help at catcher (and like most of us, you probably do) let Logan take your team over the top. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Royce Lewis – In competitive leagues, there is no way a guy with his talents should be available but by my last count he is available in 58% of ESPN leagues and 17% of CBS leagues. Again, I think that says more about the typical ESPN league but I’m also saying there’s still a chance. Of course, this should all be old news for you because you added him weeks ago.

Nolan Jones –  Another guy that should have been picked up already but that you still might have a chance to grab. The biggest problem with Nolan is that he will randomly get benched. I guess if I understood why, then I could have a job as an MLB manager. Grey, I appreciate the opportunity that you’ve given me, but if I was offered Bud Black’s job, I would promote all the prospects I had and give Nolan all the playing time he could handle. Hopefully, that doesn’t blow my shot at the Rockies manager gig.

Davis Schneider – I’m starting to feel like a broken record here but at this point in the season, you have to take what you can get. And by what you can get, I mean that Davis looks like a good bet. He hits, and he hits regularly His bat should earn him a near everyday spot. And if it doesn’t well then I should apply for that job as well.

Willy Adames – Feels like a blast from the past but he is a thing again. To be completely honest, I was surprised to see his name up there because he as they say “don’t hit so good” Well in spite of his inability to bat above .220 for the season he has been scoring points and that’s what we care about here.

Mike Yastrzemski – When he’s on the field Yaz Jr has generally been a solid fantasy option. Unfortunately, injuries and the Giants love of a platoon have limited his opportunities. Since his latest return from the IL, he has actually avoided the PL (platoon list) and the results have been quite good. I really wish I could say for sure that the playing time will be there going forward but I am not included in Gabe Kapler’s strategy meetings. What I can say is that the G-Men do value his glove and that there is a path to everyday at bats. Of the widely available options, I think he’s one of the better bets to deliver.

J.P. Crawford – His stats may not look all that great but the points have been there. Not a ton of power, not a great average. So what makes him a good option? Well I am glad you asked. In reality, his .260s batting average is well above average for the league, so not great not terrible. He may not hit for much power but he can hit for doubles and take a walk. Yep, that’ll play.

As always find me here for all your fantasy needs. Go bring home that championship.
