At this point, we’re almost a month through the 2016 MLB season.  We are getting close to the point where patience is wearing thin on players who have started slow.  I’m looking at you Justin Upton!  Upton is far from the only player who has struggled through the first month of the season and I’m sure everyone has at least one player on their roster who is letting them down.  That said, I’d still give it a couple more weeks before I made a big trade to shake things up.  Let’s take a look back at every article that went up this week on Razzball and a brief look at the week ahead:

J-FOH started the week off with his SAGNOF report with a bunch of guys who are widely available.  They all have their warts (no kidding Viz, that’s why they’re widely available!) but after all, that’s why it’s SAGNOF!

M@ put out his weekly Hitter Rankings while J.B. posted his updated Pitcher Rankings.  I just want to give these guys some credit because it takes a lot of work organizing a list like this, I know from doing the hockey rankings on this site.  I know that there’s not massive movement every week but to update it every week for slumps, injuries, etc. is commendable so give them a look.

J.B. and Grey had their discussions / arguments about Jake Arrieta and others this week on the baseball podcast.  It could even cause some of you to orgasm! <plays beginning of podcast again to listen to the song>

MattTruss updated us on the first three weeks of the RCL’s with master standings, team of the week and an update on the experts.  Give me some time to get onto the master standings, I’m only rolling 4 starters right now!

Big Magoo gave us an in-depth look at three players this week in his buy/sell post.

Malamoney wrote about some trendy names, players to look for this coming week and players he’d like to stash in his y to z post.

Ralph posted an article about prospects who have received his attention with quality starts to the season here.  There are a lot of names to keep in the back of your mind in case they get called up sooner rather than later.

JB also updated us on the REL.  This league is absolutely bonkers, I’ve done 20 man baseball before but 30 teams!?  It’s worth taking a look at just to see some of the guys rostered.

Big Magoo also gave us a look at Jose Abreu here. I wrote about Abreu and 9 others who are either starting on fire or ice cold here.

MikeMaher writes about Catcher Targets for people who didn’t take Buster Posey. Or take Wellington Castillo in every league late <pats self on back>.

Smokey posted his weekly Bullpen Report with a look throughout the league and a focus on the White Sox.

Malamoney also gave us an update for points leagues.

Phil B. wrote about OBP and OPS Leagues looking back at previous recommendations and at players he likes going forward.

THE WEEK AHEAD

The Streamonator  really likes Bartolo Colon next week.  Colon is ranked #12 with starts coming against the Braves and at the Padres.

The Hitter-Tron has a few guys that it likes a lot for the upcoming week that are widely available.  The name that stood out most to be was Chris Carter; he comes in as the 19th highest ranked hitter for the upcoming week.

As always, there will be DraftKings articles throughout the week from Sky and company.  The Razzball DFSBot will also be of assistance to anyone playing daily fantasy sports, as will Stackonator for determining what the best stacks are.  Win all of the monies!

If you want to plan out the full week ahead, the Weekly Pitcher Planner and Weekly Hitter Planner are both ready to go for your use.

That’s all for now guys.  If you have any questions or comments, post them below and I’ll answer as soon as possible.  You can also find me on the hockey side of things at Razzball here.  Take care!
