Got at-bats? Mullins does. Or, at least he should. Is that alone enough to make you want him? I mean really, really want him? The Baseball Show’s 2019 Fantasy Baseball Video Draft Guide continues right here on Razzball with a look at one of the Orioles new building blocks. He is the first player so far this year that Ralph and Andy are torn on. So, you be the tiebreaker. Who’s side are you taking?  We know what side Grey’s on, Cedric Mullins sleeper.

    I think Andy’s comparisons with Mallex Smith and Teoscar Hernandez are dead-on bullseyes.

    I’m not sure why Ralph or others are getting so fired up about Mullins. He was horrible the last month of the season when most teams were throwing Triple-A pitchers. I usually don’t disagree with Ralph or Grey but this time I do. I do agree that Mullins is merely a fourth or fifth outfielder and nothing more.

    I’ll pass on C-Mull.

    Question, I have not seen one word anywhere about Ramon Laureano. Is he just not worth writing about? I don’t know if he’s any good or not but I can’t seem to find any information or opinions on him either. How about a look at Ramon!!! He’s more interesting to me than Cedric Mullins!

    Peace.

      @Harley Earl:
      Harley, Grey wrote a sleeper post about Laureano n December 10th. Go to rankings, then sleepers, scroll down.

        @Packers: Thanks Packers! I found the sleeper post, and wow, that was some serious high praise! I’m pretty fired up for Ramon now!!!

      @Harley Earl: He’s coming we just started doing those.

      I think he’s nothing like Mallex Smith or Teoscar. Are their plate profiles similar? He’s essentially free, you take Mullins at the back end of the draft and perhaps he provides volume.

      The last month was bad, but it was his first taste of the bigs. It’s not like he’s a seasoned vet. You make it sound like I have the guy ranked top 250.

        @Ralph Lifshitz: To be clear, and maybe I should’ve clarified this better, last year at this time NO ONE was interested in Mallex Smith, and Teoscar was getting a bunch of sleeper buzz like Mullins is now. He gave you the 22 dingers, but did you feel good about them? Was he someone you were starting regularly, if at all? I think you’re more likely to get 15/15 with .240 from Mullins, which has a place, but not one I’m desperate for.

        @Ralph Lifshitz: I like it when we argue!

        BTW, you know you love C-Mull!! Haha! Looks like I got under your skin, huh! My bad!

        Just kidding with you Ralphy. You do great work here and you know I respect your opinions!! Happy New Year bro! Keep up the good work!

      @Harley Earl: Thanks Harley! We’ll try to get Laureano in some form or fashion. Added Haniger for this week’s slate.

    There will be a lot of pressure on Mullins this season. He’ll be at the top of the order getting at bats to prove he can hit lefties and if he fails at that, we won’t be talking about him in future fantasy seasons.

    I like him as a 5th outfielder in OBP leagues but agree he’s an easy cut when someone on the waiver wire has a more exciting first week.
