Los Angeles Dodgers Top 10 Prospects For 2025 Fantasy Baseball

I started this list thinking it might be impossible for any of these guys to crack baseball’s best lineup this season, but there’s a non-zero chance Rushing winds up an opening day outfielder in Los Angeles. They’ll certainly bring in a veteran or two, but his primary competition today would be Andy Pages and James Outman. A left-handed hitter at 6’1” 220 lbs, Rushing hit 26 home runs in 114 games across Double and Triple-A last season, slashing .271/.385/.512 on the strength of his trademark patience at the plate.

Prospect News: Stash List 9: Soup Season or Rushing The Outfield

1. Red Sox OF Kristian Campbell | 22 | AAA 

He’s only been in Triple-A for eight games, but Campbell is slashing .303/.410/.606 with three home runs, two steals, five strikeouts and six walks. On defense, he’s played third base, shortstop and center field in those eight games. He played second base and both corner outfield spots in other stops along the way. The Red Sox are three games out of the final wild card spot, and here they’ve got this lightning-hot hitter who can play all over the field. Nick Sogard is playing second base in Boston and has a 47 wRC+ through 14 games. Might as well see if Campbell can do better than that. Should also note here that Trevor Story began a rehab assignment Friday night, but I’d take Campbell over Story in a heartbeat if I were captaining a playoff push.

Los Angeles Dodgers Top 10 Prospects For 2024 Fantasy Baseball

Pages could be part of the Dodgers’ story in 2024 from chapter one if he can hit a little this spring. Might need an injury or two to break camp but figures to get written into the lineup by the time summer rolls round. Might’ve happened this year if not for a torn labrum that ended his season in June, just one game into his Triple-A career. At 6’1” 212 lbs, Pages features double-plus power, plus patience and a strong throwing arm from a corner-outfield profile. The shoulder injury throws this into question, of course, but if he comes all the way back, he could make an early impact.

Prospect News: Rushing To The End or Minor League Playoff Update

I was surprised to see the Rays promote top prospect 3B Junior Caminero. Could be they’ve got a loophole through which they can add him to the playoff roster. Could be they plan to have him break camp with the club next season and want him to get acclimated for a week or so and then feel like a big leaguer all winter long. That’s the takeaway that matters most to our game. After the news of Wander’s lust(s) echoed across the internet, people speculated the fallout could speed up Caminero’s timeline. I didn’t think so because Tampa’s always loaded with functional major league options across the infield, but today I think that’s more or less what happened. Not that we’re likely to ever find out.
