Turnarounds midseason are the waiver wire wet dreams that we all hope for. Now add in that they are included in one of the most prolific hitting offenses. Now, throw some salt on it and say that he is going to play everyday because of spectacular defense (which I have preached before). That player is Jackie Bradley Jr.. Yeah, I get that his season long stats are pretty much garbage and as a whole have been not rosterable in most 12-team or lesser formats… but (and there is a always a but), he has started to come out of his shell and is profiling more of the .270 hitter based on deeper stats, including the last 10 games of actual functioning stats that he has produced. His hard hit rate over the last 14 games played is higher than Just Dong, Mookie and any other Red Sox batter you wanna throw in my direction. That 51.6% during that span is in the same conversation league wide as some legitimate fantasy heavyweights and in the top-20 overall during that time frame. Now I get that this is the SAGNOF post, but we are getting to that… he has 2 steals in 11 games, but with more there to come with increased OBP over the last month, higher BB % and since he has hit over .400 for nearly 11 games played, that’ll only help his SB totals. So if JBJ is sitting on waivers, filter out the stats and look at a shorter time frame before you throw some shade on the Red Sox defensive dynamo. More SAGNOF love and goodies for all things saves and steals after the jump. Happy Independence day, cheers!

Austin Slater – Getting semi-regular at-bats and got a steal on Sunday giving him 2 steals in 26 plate appearances. Not sexy like me in a parka and you in your imagination, but still, as an OF5 you could go for the guy with intrigue and two working feet or you can surf the waivers for something you have had on your team three times already.
Miguel Rojas – Got one more steal on Sunday than pitcher Tyson Ross. Crazy, but true. Don’t fall for the banana in the tailpipe stat of he had two yesterday so he look sexy. He still only has three whole steals on the year.
Eric Thames – Three steals and four taters in last 14 days. I smell 20/20… nope that’s his rotting shaved beard in the garbage.
Matt Duffy – I wish he hit the ball harder, but with a .322/.447/.452 slash line over the past fortnight, I feel that the HRs can be masked when he is getting you a steal every six times on base.
Cesar Hernandez – Got another steal on Sunday and is making the names like Wong and Kiner-Falefa jealous. Just kidding, they also got a swipe on Domingo. Middle infield is a treasure trove of broken seashells.
Hector Rondon – Screw Ken Giles and his inability to be consistent. Giles isn’t a drop because I trust Rondon like I trust my dingo to not steal my baby.
Tony Watson – At some point they have to go to the guy not sucking completely. Bochy has said that Melancon isn’t strong enough for the job, and Dyson is rotting trash heap with no effectiveness. Pick up Watson and speculate on Moronta and Will Smith if chasing.
Seung-hwan Oh – Tepera went to the DL so it’s the Oh show. You think he comes in and shows them his Oh face? Let’s just hope that Gibbons and Lundberg didn’t have a thing…
