Home stretch now, just two weeks to go! With that in mind, we have an extra Master Standings update so everyone can see where they stand heading into the final weeks. Can anyone catch Retro Vertigo? Will YOU make it into the Champion’s League next year (top 12 overall)? Can anyone break one of the RCL all time records? We’ll look at all this, name the RazzSlam overall champion, and more in the week that was, week 25 in the Razzball Commenter Leagues.
Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land. We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them. The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.
I mentioned last week that Mike lost first place more than I earned it, and that was evident this week as he came storming back to retake the lead. The bigger slight last week was my saying the top six were close, leaving MarmosDad down in seventh to say…”WTF Truss?” I look pretty bad this week as MarmosDad put on a show, gaining 4.5 points and moving up four spots to third place! So this week I will say, the top ten are all pretty close, and if any of these teams has a massive two-week run, they could win the whole thing.
Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam. This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.

With two weeks to go, this is still Retro Vertigo’s game to lose. My RCL 19 team is making a little push, but I know everyone in that league is fighting to the end, and I’m not sure I can maintain a 102+ league score. ECFBL will be the same, I’m also in that league and still scraping points despite sitting in seventh place. It should be a fun battle the final two weeks.
There’s a drive and Mr. Big aren’t out of it either. There’s most definitely a team lurking that is going to hit a massive two week run and make a push. Maybe it’s Backdoor Cutters who has taken over the LHC and moved up 34 spots in two weeks to knock on the door of the top ten.
Nocler has taken a commanding lead in DFSers Anonymous, we’re all fighting for second place there.
Cjsullivan3 from RCL 9 has also gotten crazy hot the past two weeks and has gained 27 spots to move to 17th overall.

It was a real shame to see my batting average fall with two weeks to go, I thought I might hold on. There’s a drive continued their excellent season by cranking out 112 IP and hitting a new weekly strikeout record while also taking over the overall RCL strikeout lead. Not too shabby. Vin and I tied for the steals lead this week. Look at your RCL hosts buddying up!

Vin has claimed stolen bases as the most important fantasy stat and to prove his point is out to bea the 2025 mark. The all-time record seems safe.
The fall in batting average over the years is a hilarious trend to follow. No one will be touching that 0.297, maybe ever.
The wins record from last year is definitely going down, and there’s an outside shot the all-time record gets broken. Impressive, as that was set back in the ESPN days when we only had Games Start limits and not IP limits, meaning you could still run relief pitchers out there to vulture wins.

Summary: At the end of the season, when everyone is pouring on innings to hit their limits, it gets hard to find those teams who are still doing a little bit of everything. Schlit happened this week, though. A couple of undrafted players paced the offense as Garrett Mitchell and Max Clark contributed in all categories. Mitchell led the team in runs (7) and RBI (9) while hitting .381 with two home runs and two stolen bases. Clark hit .389 with a homer and three steals. Coby Mayo topped the team with four long balls, while Lawrence Butler clobbered three. Also homering twice were Matt Olson and Lazaro Montes. Bobby Witt Jr. and Zack Gelof each chipped in a home run and two stolen bases despite hitting under .200. The inspiration for the team name, Cam Schlittler, had two strong starts. He earned two victories and struck out 18 while allowing just one run and six baserunners in 13 innings. Dylan Cease had 15 strikeouts in his two starts, winning one. Payton Tolle struck out seven in six shutout innings. The relief corps added a win and six saves, along with 12 Ks. David Bednar had three saves and punched out three in three innings. The all-around week gained Schlit 5.5 points and moved them up from sixth to fourth. Nice late season push!
