Happy Birthday, America, and happy week 13, RCLers.  Hope all the Americans are having a wonderful holiday and can find some reason to celebrate despite the country seeming to run itself in reverse.  To all non-Americans, I hope you’re having a wonderful week as well.  America may be going backward, but we’re moving forward, onto the halfway point of our fantasy baseball season.  Week 13 included the official 50% mark and I have halfway leaders for you as well as many other news and notes from the week that was, week 13.

‘PERTY ‘PERTS

Each week we’ll peek in at our resident ‘perts to see who is laying claim to best “expert” RCLer in the land.  We’ll take notes, check the standings and generally stalk them.  The heading is also hyperlink, so feel free to follow along as we go.

Knoche and Grey swapped places this week as Grey fell to fourth in the ‘Perts League.  MarmosDada and I also swapped spots as I fell to eighth.  MarmosDad was the big winner of the week though, picking up 5.5 points and moving into seventh.  MarmosDad led the league in HR, RBIs, and batting average during the big week.  Grey was the biggest loser this week, dropping 5.5 points.

RAZZSLAM STANDINGS UPDATE

Each week we’ll also take a look at the top ten overall standings in our other Razzball sponsored league, the RazzSlam.  This is our NFBC Best Ball league with managers from all across the industry, from content providers to fans and readers just like you.

Beck and Strutz remain one and two in the RazzSlam but Grimey has taken the third spot for himself…Grimey!  Nice work, Grimey!  This is the first week that Yatta hasn’t made an appearance in the top ten overall after there was quite a shake-up at the top.  Razzball’s own, Kirksey was the biggest point gainer this week with 761 points and Pierre Camus was the biggest standings gainer, jumping 45 spot thanks to 737 points.  They now sit in 100th overall and Kirksey has moved up to 24th overall.  Well done, Kirksey!

TEAM OF THE WEEK

Our weekly shout out to the team that killed it the previous week.

Team: troybraves

League: RCL 32

Stats:   AVG: .338, R: 57, HR: 17, RBI: 51, SB: 9

IP: 74.1, ERA: 3.03, WHIP: 0.888, K: 91, W: 7, SV: 5

Summary:  Leading the RCLs in batting average for the week is a good way to start, adding on a ton of counting stats and a sub 1 WHIP, that’s TOW worthy.  Troybraves shot up the standings this week, gaining 8.5 points and moving from sixth to second in RCL 32.  The big week was boosted by Ronald Acuna Jr. going absolutely insane with 5 HRs and 4 SBs.  On the pitching side, it was Spencer Strider and Andrew Abbot each going 13.2 IP and striking out a combined 39 batters with beautiful ratios.  Nice week, Bravos, keep up the good work.
