Whew, things get spicy this morning on The Razzball Baseball Podcast! Hopefully you like our new publish time, and can enjoy Grey and I yelling at each other during your morning commute! On today’s show we recap the news since the last pod including Dexter Fowler‘s return to the Cubbies and a sleeper OF situation in Cleveland. Then the hot tamale. We debate Grey and I’s (grammatical error just for you!) SP ranks. My top 100 SP will be up Friday morning, but Grey still dissected it like a frog in a 3rd grade classroom. We get heated over the sleeper potential for Joe Ross, Yu Darvish‘s impact off TJ, but make amends with a collective drooling over Carlos Rodon. Here’s our latest edition of the Razzball Baseball Podcast, now with more arguing!!!:

whats up jb, just took over a team in a 10 team dyno…its hot garbage lol
we get to keep 6
Have fielder. Cargo, Famila, Darvish
need 2 more from this garbage bunch
Adrian gonzalez, Longoria, Wieters, Lester, J Zimmerman, Shields or Corbin
LOL!
@sliimbo: Oh wow. I’d say Lester and Gonzo. Tough situation you’re in. ha.
@EA:
ya its dirty for sure, to make things worse the draft is on my birthday…ah well
i mean only 80 players in total are kept so pretty sure i can build a somewhat decent team and go from there…sounds like fun haha
@EA: @sliimbo: Whats up man?! eeesh, yeah time to rebuild it! Haha.
Yeash I agree, Lester and Gonzo. I think Lester is getting underrated this year, and if Gonzo starts hot again this year, sell for some youth haha
@JB Gilpin:
love having the idea of a rebuild when i have razzball nation at my finger tips
thanks buddy for everything
@sliimbo: Any time!
JB’s top 100 arms coming soon… I can feel it!
@Big W: Hah yessir, Friday morning here we come!
last keeper option,
blackmon round 12 or Maikel Franco round 22nd.
Both can be kept for the next 3 years. Blackmon would be a 12 rounder for the next 3 but Franco moves up 7 rounds each year. at the end he would be a 8th rounder.
already have machado,correra, rizzo as my other 3 hiters.
@get johan off my balls: Damn with your infield that saucy, I think you hold Blackmon and lock in that value
On voices….Rudy totally sounds like McFly, JB sounds just like Saul Goodman and Grey….tuff one, let’s go with the old jewish lady.
@Regan: I sound like Bob Odenkirk?!??! He’s one of my heroes! Mr. Show is just amazing… Best comment ever awarded to you good sir!
JB, need your thoughts on a H2H points league keeper trade. I was offered Noah for Scherzer, I’ll get Noah as an 11th next year. The only (major) hold up is I kept Max as a 2nd this year (Kershaw was my 1st) and our rules are once you make your keeper selections, if you trade them you won’t get that pick back for this season. So I’d essentially be getting to keep Noah as my 2nd this year only, he’d get Max as his 12th this year. I would get the benefitvof Noah’s keeper value next year, but this year I would not. I’m torn since I really want Noah…..what are your thoughts?
@Ryan741: Damn that’s tough… BUt in a Pts league, gimme the stud, long-innings pitchers, and Max and Kershaw would be unbelievable and is kinda unfair haha. I would hold, even though it sucks not have Syndergaard at that keeper value for a while…
@JB Gilpin. I declined, but now he countered with Noah/Stroman for Max/Wade Davis. I Still want to say no since closers get 7 points/save and I have been able to trade for enough early picks where I will be able to draft Carrasco and then either Salazar or best available closer to pair with Davis. Would for sure get either Kenley or Kimbrel….
@Ryan741: Yeah I like Stroman a lot, but I still don’t feel like it’s worth the loss of an absolute ace up top in Max. I would keep holding
Is yesterday’s podcast not showing up on itunes or am I missing something?
@Fungazi: Hmmm, I see it… If you’re using the App on your phone, try deleting all the Pods you have (on that main “My Podcasts” tab, swipe left then delete) and then re-subscribe. I’ve had issues with Pods on my iOS before as well and that seems to pick up some lost ones
@JB Gilpin: I found it. The link on this site takes you to the itunes store and it wasn’t on that list, but I tried the my podcasts tab and it was there. Thanks.
@Fungazi: Oh weird… Well glad you found it!
Great podcast! Like Frazier and Ali, hope you guys do a rematch. Few comments: Ross pitched 153 innings last year. He could do 180 this year easy.
@Regan: Thanks man! Yeah I felt Grey’s innings projections for Ross were pretty pessimistic. I should’ve fought more on it, but I had so many other battles to fight!
This podcast was awesome.
@Charles: Hahaha thanks man. Grey and I need to rile up each other more…
JB, I just listened to the podcast, good stuff. I asked you a few weeks back so this is a follow up question, do you think you can post your weekly pitcher post on Sunday for us guys and 5 girl readers to set our weekly pitching lineups by game time Monday? Work gets in the way for us who can’t get to a computer. I personally set my lineups Sunday night while watching the Sunday night baseball game. Thanks and looking forward to Friday morning.
@I’mgettingsomeHeadley: Thanks man, thanks for listening! Yeah I remember that one and still thinking on it… I don’t think the bosses usually like to schedule new content late Sunday night, which would be the earliest I would have it done is the issue. I tend to do them then so the ranks are most current…
What if either A) you could ask your questions if you had any tough lineup choices Sunday night on the previous profile and I will def see em as I’ll be working on Razz work or B) I could post my ranks in the comments section of the last article as I usually have those done earlier than wrapping up the gifs and alladat
I don’t know if I’ve ever yelled, “Yeah!!!” As emphatically as I did when JB said that Tyson Ross will destroy your whip. Not a fan (of Ross. Love JB!)
@Hugman: Hahahahaha thanks man! Glad you’re on team JB on that one!
