Fantasy Razzball is the game where the goal is to manage the worst fantasy baseball team possible. You hope to find terrible players who don’t get sent to the minors.
As in the RCL, a team’s points are multiplied by the League Competitive Index. The LCI is based on the total points of the top 8 teams per league. The overall standings can be found below. Points are credited as follows:
Hitters (AB = +2, H = -3, R = -4, HR = -6, RBI = -4, K = +2)
Pitchers (IP = -1, HR = +4, L = +8, K = -1, ER = +1.5, H+BB = +1).
Congratulations Mendoza Mashers, the 2013 Fantasy Razzball champions! The Mashers started their draft with 9 pitchers, with 6th pick Lucas Harrell leading the staff, scoring 2.6 points per inning for a total of 308. Seventh rounder Jeremy Guthrie was next with 207 (1.2/IP), followed by 4th pick Juan Nicasio (199/1.5) and free agent add, Phil Hughes (197/1.9). The Mashers were very successful grabbing free agent hitters, as only 2 of their top 15 batters were drafted. Chris Parmelee (250 pts/23rd round) and Pedro Florimón (218/17th round) joined free agents Rickie Weeks (294), Chase Headley (275), Jimmy Rollins (268), John Buck (248), and Ike Davis (235) as the top scorers.
