You know we had to do it em! We’re wrapping up the year in classic Razzball fashion with our annual end of year draft for next year. Will I take Michael Conforto? Is Tyler O’Neill in the mix? Will I guilt Grey into drafting a pitcher? All this and more on this year’s edition of the Top 25 Players For 2022 Fantasy Baseball. It’s like January Grey but with less Crazy Uncle vibes.

Just listened, and thoroughly enjoyed it! I had just read a six round (15 team) ranking by Michael Waterloo just 30 minutes ahead of listening to this, so it was fun to see the comparisons. I’m really fascinated to see where some of your favorites are going to be undervalued for 22. The top 10 was mostly the same, with no surprises, but I found these names of interest. You guys have Devers at 9, and he had him 27! You had Mullins 19, him 29. I loved your Eloy pick at 23, while he had him 50! His biggest stretch was Starling Marte at 11.

Other things I found of interest.

You mentioned Machado not getting love. He was ranked 39 by the other guy. Maybe he’s a nice 3rd round pickup next year.

I was totally waiting on Grey to nab Wander 23 or 25. He was ranked 34 in the other site.

Also, he had Mondesi at 52, but probably wouldn’t touch him there.

Anyways, thank you for the podcast. I really needed to hear some fun, baseball content today. You guys’ rankings are always go to. I just use the others for comparison.

And a little more on Mondesi. Years ago, Grey use to rank Tulowitzki higher than most even though we all knew he was going to be hurt. His theory was, Tulo would put up numbers in his 115 games that others do in a season. When he’s on the IL, you plug in a WW pickup and it just adds to the numbers even more getting some crazy numbers at that position.

I see Mondesi used as a similar philosophy. Maybe couple with a Brendan Rodgers. Also, I just realized in one of my dynasty leagues, Mondesi is only eligible at 3B in leagues that require 15 games played. He started 20 at 3B, and 10 at SS.

Yeah, I hear ya on Mondesi, the problem is the Royals said they won’t even play him every day, which is scary for too high of a draft pick

Thanks! I might rank Wander higher in the preseason…This was done with no prep at all…I won’t be ranking Marte high tho or anywhere near 11 — Devers, I love, he might be around 9 next year too

If his rankings are any indication of what other sites use I will have Devers on every team!

        Also Javy Baez-54, Austin Riley-68, Albomso-88, Polanco-89.

        And if we are targeting SP around 60, Gausman was 58, Fried-66, Musgrove-72, Rogers-74, Flaherty-76, Manoah-87, LWebb-90.

It’s going to be a long offseason.

    Grey,

Devers is a great pick. I couldn’t agree with you more. Devers is a very special player and seems to be under-rated by most.
