Razzball, in conjunction with North Korea and Tollhouse cookies, brings you the number one place on the web to waste your time. A fantasy baseball forum! That’s right; cock your head a sixteenth of an inch up or just move your left eyeball because the link is right there. Where it says forums? Yes! A fantasy baseball forum so good we had to pluralize it. So does this mean you should no longer comment on each and every post like you’ve been doing? No, the fantasy baseball forums are here to enhance your Razzball experience, not dilute it. If you want to just talk about a game while your players are goosing the pooch, go into the forums. Trade questions need answers? Waiver wire pickup question? General malaise at real life and wanna waste some time? Try the forums! All fantasy baseball advice all the time (with some other general nonsense). If your mind is in overload right now, because we’re too giving and you’re scared of love, go curse us out in the new fantasy baseball forums. You’re welcome.

  2. Will there be a special forum section where I can practice my English?

  3. Hey all –
We’ve already gotten a bunch of requests to join the forums. Doing our best to crank out the acceptances. If you haven’t gotten your count activated within a few hours, send us an e-mail at [email protected] with the username you submitted.

  4. p0rk burn says:

Sweet guys, can’t wait to get my activation. I’ve been thinking you guys needed a forum. I should have put my guess out there instead of telling you guys I knew it was coming after the fact.

    Good work!

  5. Chet says:

Cool. What I’ve always needed. I don’t think I’ll need to go to the doctor to see what that burning sensation is all about when I pee now!

  6. Chet says:

So I have a copyright on beer mug peeps then? Sweet!

I signed up on the forums as Doc Holliday so I could sound cooler than “Chet.” And so I could start my life over as a gambling lunger.

Aw man! I’ve been sitting by my computer for four days waiting for this announcement hitting f5, feeding myself with cheetoes, V8 and dog food. This is the announcement? I thought it was going to be an announcement of a greater magnitude, such as a regular column from Jody Davis or something.

This is like getting backstage passes to a Poison concert and only getting a hand job.

  8. Frank Rizzo says:

Just signed up for the forums and will use them in the future.

But I need to wait to get accepted and would like opinions right away on who is the better start today.

Delmon Young vs. Danks @ Chicago today

Granderson Vs. Cliff Lee @ Home. (FYI: Lee is a lefty)

I would have started McLouth but he’s a scratch today. Young finally hit a HR and has had some success in the past batting .333 in 6 AB’s vs. Danks. Granderson is known for being a chump against lefties but he’s actually bat .300 against Lee over 20 AB’s and hit a HR against him the last game they faced off.

What do you think? Granderson has a larger sample size but is known for his trouble with lefties. Does Leyland sit him?

  9. Grey

    Grey says:

@Frank Rizzo: I wouldn’t start Granderson against a lefty, even one he has decent previous history against. Go Young.

So I have been noticing how my time here has been put to good use. Since I am in a weekly h2h (I know I know I heard – a crap shoot)I looked at who I play this week and I noticed I play the tea in the league who has made no moves all season. Essentially a ghost team who was won 3 games so far. Now all the other teams made roster moves to pick up all the two start pitchers and range from 6-10 starts. Yet I know I only have to beat my guy who has 3 closers and 4 starters with two of them on the dl – so he only has two starts. My pitchers are one starts so I have four starts with 3 closers.

So I should be able to stay in first while making no moves. Just magnifies a couple of things,
    1. leaguemates that quit – suck like a manager who puts a position player on the DL after you already commited for the week (taken from Rudy’s FLB Aggravations)
    2. Weekly H2H – basically you just have to worry about the team your playing against each week which helps you play down to the competition like the Celtics to the Hawks)
    3. Man it must be pissing my leaguemates off to see be beat each one of them by barely nothing each week.

Just an AH-A kind of moment as I look at things and sweaton this steamy New England afternoon.

  11. Grey

    Grey says:

@BSA: Sounds like a moment of clarity.

  12. BSA says:

Oh yeah I forgot to say, Ooooohhhhm!
Gotta go cram for my big test on the 12th with PB and the rest of the Razzers.

  13. BSA says:

I just threw up a post on the forum thinking about my utility position and the futility of KGreene while waiting for Tulo to heal. As I do some more research I discover two options right now and wondering who has more staying power beyond just “hot right now” Maicer Izturis or Alexei Ramirez? Either one could cover me at short and become a decent option in case Utley or an outfielder go on the DL. With my naivety they both look similar but Alexei may have won his manager’s heart.

  14. Grey

    Grey says:

@BSA: Well, they’ve both been hot recently, but I’d go with Alexei. Not sure why you have to put a SS in the utility spot though. There’s got to be someone else on waivers that you can put in the utility spot.

  15. BSA says:

I have victorino in my utility spot. I remember taking Victorino out for a test run last year and suffering through his on/off the dl rotations. Pence is warming back up so he may be in there next week if Victorino skips a beat. Then again I have to keep my eye on Bruce as he dips one layer into the thermosphere. My positions to watch over the coming weeks are short and third as I have Figgins and Tulo on my bench with Longo and little aRam playing third and short respectively.

I will be covering utility with one of my outfielders – Vlad, Quentin, Bruce, Pence, or Victorino.

  16. Lou says:

    Nice deal gents.

  17. JR says:

    Great idea, guys.

One suggestion for a future forum: “Deep Leagues.” While I enjoy thinking about who I would drop if my outfield were “Sizemore, Dunn, Vlad, Quentin, Pence, and Bruce,” the fact is that my outfield is “Rios, Krispie, Victorino, Winn.” (I’m in second place!). I start Marmol every week; I agonize over C. Headley v. DL Laroche; Chris Snyder is my catcher, etc…

Cust kayin’ that my concerns are a little different…

  18. Grey

    Grey says:

@JR: The forum should accommodate you just as much as the next guy, no? Let me know what we can do.

  19. JR says:

I appreciate it. Listen, I visit this site a lot every day and I read almost everything, but I don’t post a lot. I don’t want to ask for a thread by myself or anything. But I can guarantee that I would chime in daily. I probably don’t have the time to be super-funny (I’m no Baron or PorkBurn). But if you get more feedback requesting one (that is, if there’s an audience for it), well, that would be cool…

  20. JR says:

Don’t get me wrong; tons of info here. And the keeper league thread should be helpful. Maybe if I made my posts funnier I’d get more responses! Now where the hell is that Bill Hicks CD? I need some material!

  21. Grey

    Grey says:

@JR: re: Bill Hicks — ha.
