So here we are in Snape’s cauldron of countless bubbling outfielders–some poisonous if not handled with care–attempting to divine the future of fantasy baseball.

Here’s a link to the top 100 potion so far.

One outcome of doing these rankings is claustrophobia.

Although maybe that’s the corona.

But given the choice of three outfielders, my preference varies based on where my team is in its competitive cycle and how deep the league runs. Maybe that’s intuitive to most readers–the deeper the league, the more valuable the bum–but I’m brainstorming ways to maximize this multiverse of scenarios. In that spirit, please consider these rankings as fodder for fluid conversation and thought.

These guys in the 101-110 group are pushing to move up in the top 200 coming Sunday. If they do so now, they blend in with the on-going project and get lost in the shuffle. All are buys for me, assuming they’re cheap.

I could go on forever in the outfield, I think. Shagging flies was my favorite baseball activity. Might’ve been my favorite life activity this side of shagging shagging. But just as in most pastimes, we can’t go on forever here. Sun’s getting low.
