I don’t mean to just go on and on about my fake teams or how well I’ve been doing lately, but damn, your humble-but-nonetheless-handsome Guru is on fire. The turban is smokin’! Last night I nearly doubled my bankroll and won a little side wager in which our resident Razzball Radio host must wear a T-shirt of my choice on Thursday’s show. That’s almost as satisfying as cash. Almost.  With a few more Benjamin’s we’ll be one step closer to a winter of fun in the sun with enough left over for bail and a possible liver transplant. Thanks, Obamacare!

Have you been partaking in the DraftKings fun? Why not, don’t like money?! Get out of here, hippie! Your friendly Razzaholics even provide you with some of the best tools in the biz: Stream-o-Nator, Hitter-Tron and the mighty DFSbot. Use them and buy us a round later, you know, after the liver has healed up.

DraftKings has eight games on the early slate, seven games on the evening schedule and three late games tonight. There are some high over/unders for KC/DET, MIN/BOS and MIL/ARI that we’ll be targeting today.

Let’s get to it and you could be joining me for sunshine, umbrella drinks and thong watching come December. Here be some of the Guru’s picks for Wednesday, June 18th contests on DraftKings for 2014 Fantasy Baseball.

Early Bird

Lance Lynn, SP: $8,500 – Sure Chris Sale is throwing in one of the early games, but he’s pricey and we need room for bats. Lynn makes for a great value play this afternoon. Lynn is coming off an eight inning, two-hit shutout and gets a Mets team that is sixth in the league in strikeouts.

David Ortiz, 1B: $4,900- The big bats of the day belong to the first baseman – Miguel Cabrera, Jose Abreu and Chris Davis. I expect they’ll all have good days, but Big Papi is my pick for Dong of the Day. Ortiz hasn’t hit a homer in a week, but has been close. A warm day at Fenway with Kyle Gibson on the mound should cure the drought.

Rougned Odor, 2B: $2,900 – ODOR! went 2-for-4 with a homer, a triple, two rins and three RBI Tuesday against the A’s. This kid’s legit (and barely legal four female cougar readers), but makes a great play tonight vs. Sonny Gray who has a 6.35 ERA this month.

Happy Hour

Felix Hernandez, SP: $12,500, Clayton Kershaw, SP: $12,300 – I don’t think we have to dig too deep into the numbers to know this: Kersh and King Felix are pretty, pretty, pretty good at baseball. You’ll have to pay up, but both are in great spots for huge games.

Ryan Braun, OF: $5,600 – I was hoping Braun would get D-Backs starter Wade Miley yesterday, but Miley got scared and was scratched. Guess which impotent left-hander that has allowed 1.54 HR/9 this year is pitching tonight?  Someone named “Made Wiley.” And he’s going to try and throw right-handed. You’re not fooling anyone, Wade. Stack the Brew Crew.

Jonathan Lucroy, C: $4,700 – I’m paying up tonight for Lucroy after his double-dong night – including a grand slam – at Chase Field Tuesday. Lucroy gets an even better match up tonight as he crushes lefties to the tune of a .943 OPS this year.

Late Night Snack

Andrew Cashner, SP: $7,700 – Sure, I’ll probably own Hernandez who Cash is facing late (and I don’t usually take two pitchers facing each other), but it’s a great play at PETCO against a Mariners team that is top 10 in K’s this season.

Khris Davis, OF: $4,100 –  The other Khris Davis and his .492 wOBA against southpaws will be on all my teams at this price. I’m going to pass Khris with a K Davis a note in gym class: Do you want to be on my fake baseball team? Yes or No. Circle one.

Scooter Gennett, SS: $3,500 – Have I mentioned I kinda like like the Brewers bats tonight? The year of the Scooter continues as he’s averaging 15+ FPTS over his last five games. I’ll keep playing him and winning $$$ until the price goes up. Your move, DraftKings.

I’m Only Happy When It Rains

Some scattered showers in Detroit and a 45% chance of drive-by Molotov cocktail bombings, but things should be ok in the Motor City. Everywhere else it’s unicorns and rainbows.

Doing Lines In Vegas

The high scoring game of the day should be MIL/ARI. The sharks in Vegas have the over/under at 9. I say it goes over.
