Hard to believe we’re already ~60% of the way through the MLB season. I hope you all enjoyed hitting the reset button and the All-Star festivities. It’s back to the grind though and we should have a full 8-game slate. There is a ton of bad pitching to go around tonight. The Phillies are in good stacking spot and almost everyone in their lineup is viable. The Marlins are a sneaky stack in my opinion. They’re on the road in a hitters park against a mediocre pitcher. Their lack of offensive notoriety will keep ownership down. They’d make a good secondary stack to pair with the Phillies if you can manage it.

Another Wednesday, another slate with one less game due to poor weather the night before. Thankfully we still a healthy 8-game slate on our hands with some interesting matchups. We have good pitchers against bad offenses, as well as great offenses against poor pitching. Toronto will garner much of the offensive love and for good reason but don’t ignore the 2nd team in that game.

Happy hump day everyone! I don’t like this slate from a pitching perspective. Aaron Nola is a stud but it’ll be 90+ degrees with humidity in a ballpark prone to homers. Miami may not great offensively but they don’t strike out much. Similar situation with Luis Garcia in Houston against Baltimore. Chris Bassitt has a decent matchup but I have a hard time paying $9,800 for someone who doesn’t offer up much in the way in strikeouts. Joe Musgrove is in Great American Smallpark on a hot, humid night as well. He’s only eclipsed the 40 pt. threshold once in his last 11 starts. I liked Cal Quantrill but with it now being a double header, the game has been removed from the slate. Steven Matz has a good matchup but he’ll be on a pitch count coming off the IL.

It’s hard to believe that the All-Star break is less than 3 weeks away. Maybe it’s just me but this season is flying along. Hopefully, you’ve had a fair amount of success to this point and you aren’t feeling the grind. Tonight, we have 7-game slate with a hodge-podge of pitching options. We’ll see the return of Danny Duffy, Kyle Tucker, and Michael Conforto from the IL. Reports are the Tucker has lost over 10 pounds and Duffy will be a pitch count. I would be cautious and fade both of them till they show they’re up to full strength.

Jacob deGrom has earned his way into plug-and-play territory for DFS. A feat that blows my mind really, but I am not playing him tonight. Mainly this is due to a complete and udder mistrust of the Mets training staff. I know he says he’s fine and played catch on Sunday but I have seen this play out too many times. I hope I am dead wrong but I can survive one slate without him.

Tonight is an interesting slate for all the wrong reasons. The two stud starting pitchers have tough matchups. The teams we tend to stream starters against don’t have guys we would typically trust even in streaming situations. Combine that, with it being a large 12 game slate and we are at the peak of MLB DFS variance. We do have a fair amount of stacking choices though. The Mets and Brewers lead that pack for me. The Mets have quietly been hitting over the last two weeks and get Matt Harvey in Baltimore. The Brewers get a matchup against a mediocre rookie and a Reds bullpen that currently ranks last in MLB. I like the Reds tonight as well but Brett Anderson still generates lots of ground balls and Milwaukee’s bullpen is very good. A formula I tend to stand away from when looking at stacks.

Welcome to June baseball everyone! Typically, I tend to fade games in Coors. Ownership tends to be very high and as a result it’s hard to gain an advantage. However, I won’t call you a fool playing hitters on those nights. If stacking is your play, I think there are some pretty interesting games. Stacking either side or both of the Minnesota/Baltimore game is a strong play. The same can be said about the Washington/Atlanta game.

I like Houston as sneaky stack as well. Nick Pivetta has enjoyed the breakout we’ve been waiting for over the last 3 seasons. However, he is still walking plenty of batters and has a predominantly fastball/slider pitch mix. This isn’t great as the Astros have the lowest K rate in baseball. Moreover, they are 8th as a team against fastballs and 1st against sliders. While I do think the Coors game will have plenty of runs scored, there are good options elsewhere.

Hard to believe we’re approaching the end of month 2 of the MLB marathon. The injuries continue to mount and leave us with some interesting streaming options, which is good news because the pitching options at face value are not great. We get an MLB debut along with a bunch of mediocre starters. The only headliners are Trevor Bauer and Tyler Glasnow. Bauer has a tough matchup against the Astros, leaving Glasnow as the chalky ace pick. We should have another full slate as there’s no inclement weather on the horizon.

What an amazing day for baseball. We get a healthy 12-game night slate with no threat of postponements. It’s also Ohtani day for all those who observe. There is plenty of current star power on the mound and a few in the making. We also get to take a second look at the Mariners’ top pitching prospect Logan Gilbert. He struggled mightily in his first start, but to me, he just looked more nervous than overmatched.

Tonight should have a full slate of 10 games as there is not a threat of bad weather. I expect there to be some pretty widespread ownership as there are 8 LHP’s getting the call tonight; with players looking to take advantage of platoon matchups. We also get a Gerrit Cole start against a bad Rays offense.

The first month of the season is in the books and we’ve seen some great baseball to this point. I expect tonight to be more of the same as we have a couple of established aces on the mound. An up-and-coming ace in Freddy Peralta, along with interesting stack options. Atlanta is the top stack choice. If you’re willing to take on risk, Brewers and Tigers are interesting options as well. Detroit has an interesting matchup against Martin Perez. However, it’s forecasted to rain leading up to the first pitch and could start in a delay. Milwaukee goes up against a familiar face in Chase Anderson, who seems to be on the decline.

Welcome to another quirky Wednesday main late. Jacob deGrom has played his way into plug and play status for DFS. Unfortunately, the main slate starts at 7:05 PM EST and the Mets play at 6:40 PM EST. Fear not though as we have a healthy 10-game slate on tap. Well almost healthy as I don’t expect the Cardinals and Phillies game to be played due to rain.
