Last week we toured the infield and our first half fantasy All-Stars.  If you missed that article, stop, do not pass go, do not collect $200 and give last week’s article a read.  For those of you that stopped in last week, thank you and let us get into touring the outfield.  Out on the grass we have two clear front runners that have paid their owners many times over and then a heated competition for the final spot in our lineup.  Without further ado, here are our first half outfield All-Stars!

There is nothing like striking up a debate amongst the readers of our wonderful fantasy game by anointing the mid-season all-stars. We are not talking about the Aaron Judge or Yordan Alvarez types, but the out of nowhere stars that carry your team to the top. We are talking about the Randy Arozarena in the playoffs or Shane Spencer in September. This week, we dive into the surprising names who returned the biggest bang for the buck based on expectations moving into the season. We also assess if we can expect the production to continue in the second half. Without further ado, these are the hitter profile’s infield All-Stars!

Welcome to July where we are only two weeks away from the All-Star game and fantasy baseball owners are trying to gear up for the second half.  This week, our rest of the season rankings take on a little shake up thanks to injury (sorry, Bryce Harper and Salvador Perez) and the continued breakout of young stars like Julio Rodriguez and Bobby Witt Jr.  In the coming weeks, we also hope to welcome back a healthy Eloy Jimenez, Fernando Tatis Jr. and maybe even Mitch Haniger.  Because we know you have already skipped this short introduction, let us move on to the rankings for the rest of the 2022 fantasy baseball season.

It does not take much in our game to go from fantasy darling to swift after-thought.  Take for example the season line of 86-23-92-.310-2.  This is the last full season in 2018 for Scooter Gennett of the Cincinnati Reds.  After an injury stunted 2019 season and a trade to San Francisco that did not jump start his season, he was simply out of the game.  So what is the point of all of this besides the fact that I simply miss Scooter as one of the fun personalities in the game?  Today, we are taking a look at two first basement who were generally after thoughts in spring drafts and still do not get their due nearly halfway through the season.  Hopefully they both have better fates than Scooter.

There comes a time in every season, when it feels like players and dropping left and right.  Maybe it is the heat or maybe it is a speech from Brian Snitker but is does feel like a shift is taking place with injuries across the board.  Just this week, we lost the likes of Anthony Rendon, Ozzie Albies while Fernando Tatis Jr. and Mitch Haniger appear to have delays in their rehab.  It sounds like time to scour the waiver wire while making some tough decisions about who really can stick around on the injured list.  This week in our Top 100 hitters, while we say goodbye to Rendon and Albies we get to welcome a few new faces.  Sit back and enjoy this week’s edition of the Top 100 hitters for the rest of the 2022 fantasy baseball season.

In the first 25 hitters taken during last year’s 2021 fantasy baseball drafts, names such as Christian Yelich (#3), Cody Bellinger (#4), Alex Bregman (#11), Anthony Rendon (#13) and Gleyber Torres (#20) were flying off the board.  This year, the group could hardly sniff the top 50 with each flailing hitter dropping harder than the […]

The calendar has turned into June, and we are about one third of the way through the 2022 fantasy baseball season.  At this point, we know where we need to cut bait and hopefully have found some waiver fodder that will carry us over the warmer months.  As the analogy goes, summer can be as hot as a volcano.  In our world, the heat of the volcano (yes this is a weird analogy) is a combination of Mookie Betts and Paul Goldschmidt.  Owning just one of these two could move you up the standings, while the combination drove in 60 runs with 20 dingers and nearly a .400 average over the past month.  That my fair reader is being as hot as a volcano.  Now that we have drained a pointless analogy, we jump into this week’s edition of the Top 100 hitters for the rest of the 2022 fantasy baseball season.

Do you remember that one kid in elementary school who always seemed to win every raffle, cake walk or prize when it was nothing more than dumb luck?  Well, welcome to Major League Baseball where that same kid is reimagined as Chris Davis and instead of winning the cake walk, he wins a ridiculous $161M contract.  Both of these guys stink if you are not them and the second one sinks your fantasy season as well.  This week our hitter profiles dig into a few luck metrics to warn or yearn for the rest of the season.  Do not worry, I won’t mention Chris Davis again.

As we approach June, the Mets have the best record in the National League.  Like many fans, fantasy owners might be asking what is happening and how did we get here?  Luckily like the real world we can expect the Mets to falter.  If you are not yet at the top of the standings in your fantasy league, you have to expect the same from your league mates.  It is still early and not the time to throw in the towel, but rather it is time to dig deep to find those hidden gems.  Be bold and make some moves to prepare yourself for the summer stretch run.  This week we will dive in to the top 100 hitters for the rest of the 2022 fantasy baseball season and call out some of the big bats that are on the move!

The next batch of top prospects has arrived and the big question is if they will deliver.  Over the past week or so, Juan Yepez and Alek Thomas have been called up to the big leagues.  This week we were going to dig in to see what their current and future prospects look like to help your 2022 fantasy baseball season.  Will they be up will they be up for good?  Will they deliver the goods?  It is our task to check the facts and the theories.  Join us on the journey with today’s version of prospect roulette.

Like the Mets coming back to steal a ninth inning win, we are doing the improbable and shuffling it up with the Top 100 hitters for the rest of the fantasy baseball season. Maybe the Mets’ comeback is more impressive than this shuffle, but I still cannot imagine the Mets being must watch baseball! With that out of the way, we have some big moves this week with injuries to key players (see Eloy Jimenez) and returns for others (see Ramon Laureano). We also now have a month of insight to tell us who is real and who might simply be a mirage. In the spirit of Bill ‘Spaceman’ Lee, dig in to the rankings like a cosmic snowball means no tomorrow. Bonus points for those few that follow the reference!

Do you believe in life after love?  Well Cher certainly does and if you love Adalberto Mondesi then you might just be asking yourself the same question!  For those of you that resisted the temptation, please take a bow!  After that awkward and mostly pointless Cher analogy, let us move on.  It is still early in the 2022 fantasy baseball season, but fortune favors the bold so it is time to make some early tough calls.  Because this is fantasy baseball and we aren’t giving out participation ribbons!  This week’s hitter profiles take a look at some hitters getting some early love and decide whether they are a buy, sell or hold.  Join me as we start in Kansas City
