The main character from the movie quoted above is almost as scary as the two-headed monster of Clayton Kershaw ($13,100) and Felix Hernandez ($12,500) scheduled to take the mound today. Obviously you can’t go wrong with either ace but they will both cost a small fortune for their services. If I had to choose between the two, which I’m sure is the case for most DFS players today, I would drop the extra $600 on Kershaw. The Cardinals are in the bottom third of MLB in wRC+ against left-handed pitching, while Hernandez’s opponent (Cleveland) is actually T-1st in the majors against righties (115 wRC+). Again, both are as crisp as a bone business card with Silian Rail lettering, I just like the match-up for Kershaw a little more.

Mike Bolsinger, SP: $6,700 – Let’s stick with the theme of starting all right-handers that can fog up a mirror against the Padres. San Diego continues to suck with a .217 batting average and MLB-worst 73 wRC+ against right-handed pitching. Bolsinger won’t cost you much for the match-up.
Ryan Howard, 1B: $4,300 – Howard has the platoon advantage against Aaron Harang today. The Phils’ slugger is hitting .375/.483/.833 with three home runs and as many walks as strikeouts in 24 at bats against the Braves’ right-hander.
Jose Altuve, 2B: $4,600 – It’s tough to bet against Altuve right now. He continues to rake for the Astros and is worth the extra dollars with a platoon advantage against left-hander Drew Smyly today. Altuve is batting a modest .424 against left-handers this season.
Rajai Davis, OF: $3,900 – Scott Feldman has given up the 3rd most steals in the major leagues. If you’re looking to save a little coin in the outfield, the King of SAGNOF should be good for a swipe or two. He’s not a lock to be in the lineup so be sure to check before gametime. Fellow Tigers Ian Kinsler and Austin Jackson may exploit Feldman’s inability to hold baserunners as well. Jackson is priced the same as Davis in today’s contests.
