Mauledbypandas held on to first for another week, but Jack Full of Hate closed the gap to just three tenths of a point as he moved up from 11th place to second. Impressively, the Hateful Jack also has the 18th ranked team. Check out the Master Standings (you can also access them via the Leagues menu up top) to see where your team ranks in comparison to the other 767 teams through Sunday. Tell me your team and league in the comments and I’ll add your Razzball handle to the standings.

MStark’s two teams both made big moves this week, with Ian’s Army (Cracking The WHIP) jumping 100 spots to 41st, and Team Stark (Wily Young Delmons) moving up 192 positions to 94th place.

Leonys Martin is now owned in 39% of the Razzball Commenter Leagues after a 6-for-19 week with 5 runs and 5 steals. With rumors of an imminent Adam Eaton return, he is now 84% owned.

League Stats: The League Competitive Index for all leagues can be found here. Night of the Living Zombinos (104.4) continues to lead all leagues on the competitive scale, with Cougars Welcomed (104.1) right behind. The ECFBL are in the top 10 in seven categories, leading 5 (Runs, HR, RBI, ERA, Saves.) They are 15 runs and 30 RBI ahead of everyone else.

Team Stats: You can find the top 10 in all categories in the RCL Forum. Two teams are still hitting over .300 – Freaks and Geeks ( Go Big or Go Home ) and the 2012 RCL Champions, Rank Railheads ( Something Something Mustache ) are both at .301.

EXPERTS: Rudy cut into the lead of Mike Podhorzer (RotoGraphs), but still trails by 9-and-a-half points. You can find links to these two leagues (and the other 62 RCLs) here.

Trades: There were 21 trades this week, plus a vetoed deal in the ECFBL that saw Giancarlo Stanton exchanged for Tom Wilhelmsen. Brett Lawrie was traded four times, including twice in Humm Baby. After acquiring Brett, along with David Murphy and Clayton Kershaw for Kyle Seager, Mike Morse, and R.A. Dickey, Chaka Laka then packaged him with Justin Ruggiano to pick up John Mayberry, Jr and Lorenzo CainHunter Pence was traded for Jordan Zimmermann in one league, and with Heath Bell for Ryan Zimmerman in another. Pence was also paired with Madison Bumgarner in a deal for Matt Kemp and Carl Crawford. I gave up Edwin Encarnacion for JZ and Jonathan Papelbon. I didn’t like to do it, but I figured with my team languishing with 45 points, I might as well try something. Justin Upton, Adam Jones, Matt Harvey, and even Miguel Cabrera also changed teams this week. You can check out all the trades in the Fantasy Baseball Forums. Look for the RCL under the heading “Everything Else.”

thanks as always for your hard work, Vin

@mauledbypandas: I think your only chance would be to dump Miggy for a package of good players, say, Sandoval, Frieri, and Gardner.

    Maybe ask for Hosmer, too.

@VinWins: Hosmer and I have broken up forever. Maybe if he shows up to batting practice with a fake moustache on I will reconsider.

Interesting that I’m in second in the league standings but ahead of the 1st place team by a couple of spots in the overall. Cool.

@OaktownSteve: Yeah, I noticed that possibility when Rudy first implemented this new scoring. I was wondering what kind of reaction it might cause.

Man, I thought both my squads had a nice pitching week. My mustache has a mustache is killing it with the streaming! Bravo!

@MattTruss223: Thanks Matt! The streaming started slow earlier in the season, but my guys have just been killing it for the last few weeks. Here’s hoping I can keep it up.

Also, thanks for the mention again Vin. I look forward to taking top pitching honors for the third week in a row next week, assuming I can find none to stream at some point this week, the pickings are pretty slim so far.

@A Hill O’ Beans: Thanks for reading! Congratulations. Pretty amazing back-to-back weeks.
I see you passed on Jerome Williams tonight, and went with Wandy… well, you’re the expert.

          • A Hill O' Beans says:
            (link)

@VinWins: Yeah, I can’t say I trust Jerome enough, we’ll see what he does later tonight though.

Wandy gave me a little scare giving up 3 runs in the second, but he’s been lights out since and after the PIT comeback he’s in line for the win now. Grilli picking up a save would be a bonus too.

@A Hill O’ Beans: Yeah, I don’t have Williams anywhere, but I’m expecting him to have a good game. I was able to pick up Leake in 1 league, and that worked out nicely.

              • A Hill O' Beans says:
                (link)

@VinWins: Leake was a good grab. I seriously considered streaming him and Wandy, but I chickened out on Leake. At least Wandy got me the W.

I haven’t found anyone to stream for tomorrow though.

@A Hill O’ Beans: C’mon, Tyler Lyons @ SD. He has a great 4.47 ERA through eight starts at Memphis!

                    (link)

@VinWins: Ha! That was the only one I considered because he was pitching in Petco. Then I read he had that ERA in the minors this year……and I was all, this is STL right? The pitching Mecca? This is the best they’ve got?

Maybe they know something I don’t and I should stream him?

    Nice write up, Vin.

Is there anyone way to manage any abandoned teams in the RCL?

    • VinWins

      VinWins says:
      (link)

      @MattH: Thanks!

Unfortunately, managers can only be replaced in the League Manager format, not ESPN Custom. We switched to this format (which allows passwords) to solve the problem of people emailing league managers to join, only to keep running in to full leagues, and also to try a get a higher percentage of players that actually visit Razzball.com in the Commenter Leagues. But, that leaves us with the problem of having no recourse in this situation. Sorry.

  9. MattH says:

Thanks for the response. I was too chicken to join this year, but there’s always next year.

@MattH: Sure, everybody’s welcome. There are managers of all levels of experience represented. Good luck!
