My final deep dive into the middle infield depth charts of an entire division. The NL West isn’t too shabby — and it’s deep.
Please, blog, may I have some more? Please see our player page for Tim Tawa to see projections for today, the next 7 days and rest of season as well as stats and gamelogs designed with the fantasy baseball player in mind.

Please, blog, may I have some more?Hello once again, Razzballers! And happy holiday weekend to all out there celebrating. Enjoy those BBQs, beverages, and agonizing roster decisions this long weekend. I know it’s an arbitrary cutoff, but Memorial Day weekend (end of May) does feel like a momentous turning point in the fantasy baseball calendar. First, it is really the time […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Rarely am I surprised by a demotion. Jake Burger being demoted shocked me. We should have a contest next preseason to guess the guy who will be demoted that will floor people. Has to be a guy in the top 125 or so in drafts, and I have to pin down what “floored” means. So, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? So, that’s why they got rid of Zac Veen? Oh, you know I’m on that bullshit still. You know I am! How do you not know this by now? This is what I do! Complain about the Rockies! Jordan Beck had a three-homer day yesterday, going 4-for-7 with 5 RBIs as the Rockies were swept […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Mitchell Parker peter piper’d a pickle pepper of a game yesterday (8 IP, 0 ER, 1 hit, 2 walks, 4 Ks, ERA at 1.39). Mary Jane smacked her lips on that Parker, in the kisser. But this is when things got weird. I opened Mitchell Parker’s Statcast page and it froze on me. A message […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Put on my Dale Murphy jersey, placed my Jimmy Carter coaster under my glass bottle Classic Coke, said five “Jane Fondas” as I threw a dart dead-center into my Ted Turner dartboard. I was locked into the A-T-L, and you could tell because I was asking everyone to call me Grey 3000 while singing apologies […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Howdy there, Razzballers! Before we get into the meat of this week’s analysis, this clip from the 1988 cinematic classic Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure is required viewing in order to get the headline reference. Because, you know, every time you have to explain your references to 90-second moments of 40-year-old movies, you’re off to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Salutations everyone, and best wishes that the baseball injury gods are treating you relatively well. If your teams look anything like mine do, though, they are pretty banged up. I don’t like to feel like I’m giving up a few weeks into the season, but if you’ve lost a couple of your starters and two […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Diamondbacks 1B Tim Tawa (25, AAA) had three walks, three home runs, two steals and zero strikeouts in his first four games, a monster start in all of our Triple-A fantasy leagues. Have to take his Salt Lake outcomes with a grain of . . . skepticism . . . but Tawa has produced throughout his career, which you kind of have to do to make your way as a 5’11” utility type, and the organization has enough confidence in him to use him at the keystone in Ketel Marte’s absence. If he hits, they might try to find room for him off the bench.
Please, blog, may I have some more? One super quick word about the top 20 2nd basemen for 2025 fantasy baseball and all the 2025 fantasy baseball rankings, each ranking appears insanely long and it is, but I imagine in a lot of leagues guys won’t have eligibility, because I’m using the extremely lax Yahoo position eligibility (five games started). Without further […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Rookie Angels C Gustavo Campero (26) spent just 14 games in Triple-A and turns 27 on Friday, so we probably aren’t talking about a long-term piece when discussing the 5’6” switch hitter, but crazier things have happened than a catcher-eligible outfielder making a rotisserie splash over a short stretch. He hit 15 home runs and stole 29 bases against 36 attempts in 93 games (80.5 percent). If he does carve out a niche, I’ll be ready with a nickname for him.
