Another close look at the middle infield depth charts of an entire division. This time, we tackle the star-loaded NL East.
Please, blog, may I have some more? Please see our player page for Edmundo Sosa to see projections for today, the next 7 days and rest of season as well as stats and gamelogs designed with the fantasy baseball player in mind.

Please, blog, may I have some more?Matt Shaw (2-for-4, 1 RBI and his 1st steal) was recalled by the Cubs, as was reported here after reading about it elsewhere. This spells the end to Brujan and Berti, E-N-D, but Shaw really needs to make better contact than he was making during his last MLB stint, which I’m assuming he can do, […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?I hold a few blades a grass up, then toss them to test the wind. They just sorta fall to the ground and I’m not sure what that tells me. People in the stands are confused why I’m testing the wind to hit a baseball. I don’t know myself, to be honest. I step into […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?“Pump up the jam, pump it up,” was what I was singing during the shortstops rankings. And now we’re not singing fun, party songs anymore. Submerge yourself into a garbage dump; take a deep breath…Ah, that’s the smell of the top 20 3rd basemen for 2025 fantasy baseball. Don’t turn your nose up! Don’t turn […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? The top 20 shortstops for 2025 fantasy baseball are Daddy Warbucks and all of you are greedy Little Orphan Annies with your hands out wanting more, more, more. That’s all right, due to a high-yield savings account in the British Virgin Islands that he hasn’t paid taxes on for twenty years, Warbucks has plenty to […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? One super quick word about the top 20 2nd basemen for 2025 fantasy baseball and all the 2025 fantasy baseball rankings, each ranking appears insanely long and it is, but I imagine in a lot of leagues guys won’t have eligibility, because I’m using the extremely lax Yahoo position eligibility (five games started). Without further […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Happy New Year and Happy Holidays. I hope the holiday season has been one of joy and happiness for you.
That said, welcome to the first installment of the Top 400 Dynasty Players for 2025. This week and next I will take two giant bites out of the countdown as I rank the players from 400-301 this week and then 300-201 the following week. After that will come bite sized looks of the final 200 players.
I know for a fact that some of you will not like my rankings. But I have my biases and certain ways I evaluate fantasy players and have done so for decades. So take these rankings as a starting point and adjust as you see fit. No matter what, I hope these rankings will be a useful tool for you.
Secondly, you will not see any prospects in my rankings unless they have debuted in the majors. So you will not see Anthony Quinn ranked, nor Owen Cassie or a host of other top prospects. I also did not rank Kumar Rocker as 11.2 innings of work on the MLB level barely counts. But if you are wondering, I really like him as I traded for him in two leagues earlier this offseason.
With that said, let’s get started.
Please, blog, may I have some more? What is a Wacha? Philosophically. I know what he was on Sunday: Michael Wacha went 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.34. I mean, what is a Wacha for fantasy? A reliable older starter in a playoff race? Would you agree with that? Good. Okay, that’s the starter you want for […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?I started both Freddy Peralta (7 IP, 1 ER, 5 baserunners, 7 Ks, ERA at 3.81) and Jesus Luzardo (8 IP, 0 ER, 3 hits, zero walks, 4 Ks, ERA at 4.14), then I prayed. Not to any ordinary God, of course. I prayed to the Fantasy Baseball Overlord, and he said, “I’m currently away […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Juan Soto was sent to the Padres for MacKenzie Gore, C.J. Abrams, Robert Hassell III, James Wood and Jarlin Susana. To quote someone talking to the last person, “Oh, Susana.” That was only 18 months ago! I’m Mr. Trade Prospects For Now. That is me! And A.J. Preller is my father. Call me Trade Prospects […]
Please, blog, may I have some more?Howdy once again, Razzballers! We are now a quarter of the way into the season and beginning to make final determinations on what our fantasy teams will yield. Now, I’m guessing that your roto leagues are tight just like mine. In practically every league, a few runs, RBI, and wins can still wildly swing the […]
Please, blog, may I have some more? It’s been another brutal week friends, at least for any fantasy baseball type who has (had?) Willson Contreras rostered, or for any sentient human being who just doesn’t enjoy seeing other humans in excruciating physical and emotional pain, and watched the reply of Contreras’ injury. His 6-8 week recovery timetable sounds awfully optimistic, and even […]
